Where do I get a good Torque Wrench?
Didn't know where else to post this so figured here
Where can I get a good multipurpose torque wrench? One that I can use on all bolts and maybe even wheel lugs. Everything i've done up to now i've just been guessing but I don't know how tight I am doing stuff, in fact the other day I broke a wheel stud because of this. I tried to buy a torque wrench from o'riley one time but I couldn't even figure it out. Where can I get a torque wrench and how do you get it to fit different bolts? In essence, how do you get it to work. Thanks guys.

As far as I know they come in various sizes, just like regular socket wrenches. If all else fails you can just get size adapters... you shouldn't have any problems.

They are just like a regular ratchet except you can apply a specific torque value. The only size difference is the drive size as in 1/4" drive, 3/8" drive and 1/2" drive. Just like a regular ratchet.

Buy a Craftsman one from Sears and you get the Lifetime Warranty.

Home depot sells a nice Husky torque wrench (actually two, 3/8 and 1/2) that is covered by a Lifetime Warranty. The 1/2 is a $100 and the 3/8 is $70. The 1/2 is HUGE though. If I had the extra 70 laying around, I'd probably buy the 3/8.

wow....that really does suck......

Lifetime waranty applies to wrenches, ratchets, and sockets. I have never been under the assumption that a torque wrench was covered under the lifetime waranty...come on guys, how would they make money if everything in the store had the lifetime waranty, such as an impact wrench...its a tool...i use my hand...its a hand tool ....

I've used snapon, craftsman, and chinese wrenches.
The cheapo chinese wrenches are great when you don't give a damn about your tools, you can drop them an not give a ****.
The craftsmans only redeeming value is that you can replace it on a sunday afternoon.
The snapon I have is god. Of course, it was $250, but I have total confidence in it, it never shifts its setting, and is built like a tank.
I will never again build an engine with a cheap torque wrench.

Go to your local Sears or OSH (Orchard Supply Hardware), and pick up a Craftsman.
As mentioned above, it comes with a lifetime warranty. Oh, and don't forget to join the Craftman Club! (Discounts and such).
