KMart now Sells Craftsman tools
I went in KMart today and low and behold they are now offering craftsman tools. I knew that Sears and KMart had mergered but this is the first time that I have seen Craftsman tools in the stores. Makes it much easier for me to get the tools now

This makes me un easy. I looked on Kmarts site and it doesn't have tools just tool boxes. I am afraid that the uneductated Kmart assosciate will not provide quality service to the Craftsman line or that the Kmart craftsman will be an inferior grade of tools made in china. Thus lowering the image of the good US made craftman items.
Oh well. What did Big K actually carry? socketsets pliers powertools?
More info please.

I just stopped into a Kmart they have a 53 pc tool set 14v drill/light kit, the as seen on tv bolt out screw out etc, 7 1/4" circular saw, a screwdriver set, and a snow blower. Now I wonder if the Kmart Craftsman is the same price or lower than Sears Craftsman?
Oh, they also will be carrying Diehard Batteries and they asked if we want a sears card at the checkout.

I looked for these when I was a K-Mart yesterday. Only found Champion tools in what they consider a tool/automotive section. On my way out I did catch a craftsman display with a few small mechanics kits, ratcheting wrenches, screwdrivers and such (about as much as the local sears ). Looks like they're trying to capitalize on Christmas gifts ideas.

Sears and K-Mart are the same now.
Guess if you are outside of Michigan(where they are based), you may not know this.
We had not stepped foot in a k-mart in years but went Wednesday after their Sears remodel.
Not too bad. They carry all the Sears appliances and Craftsman tools, not all, but they do carry all the mowers, snow blowers, leaf blowers, etc....no riding stuff but everything else.
Looked like they had new staff in those area's too.
Craftsman is Craftsman regardless of where you buy it. You even get a Sears receipt.
Watch out for privately owned Sears stores. There are Sears Hardware which are corporately owned but we have a Sears Tool store that is privately owned a bitch to deal with. They don't want to honor specials, coupons, returns from other Sears, nor do they have the same hours.
