Default THE TOOL WAREHOUSE online store

Just wanted to hear from people who have bought tools online at thetoolwarehouse.net. How is the customer service, are the quality of the tools the same as buying them direct? Thanks for any comments/responses.

I've used them many times, and they are fantastic! In fact, i have an order standing with them right now. If they areout of stock on something, they do not charge your credit card and put it on back order. They simply don't charge you for the item and ask you to re-order.

I've used them quite a few times. I did buy an air drill that I ended up sending back. It took several calls before they finally issued a refund....I'd say a month or more. They kept saying their refund guy was on vacation and would be back the following week.

I've ordered a few more times since then and not another problem. Fast service.

I have ordered from them, but not on-line. I called the 800 number. No problems though. Even when UPS miss-delivered an item they promptly sent a replacement. UPS found the item and delivered it -- next day their replacement arrived. The UPS guy asked if I wanted to send it back -- I did, and a few days later they sent me a note that they had received it back. All in all good customer service. They also have good quality tools -- not like the poor stuff from HF.

The first couple years no problems. Then, on a big order, they shorted me a bunch of items. The customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. The customer (me) was guilty until proven innocent. Lucky for me that the shorted items had significant shipping weight and it was easy to see from the UPS ship weight that there was no way in heck those items were in that box. So, they finally shipped me the shorted items. Then, guess what? A year later they send me a threatening invoice for the those items, that I had already paid for. So, I had to go through the whole thing with them, all over again. I'll never spend another penny there.

I've placed a few orders... they've done well by me.
