Insulating a garage, help
i might beable to set up shop in a steel frame farm barn. steel walls also. Its a 60x40' area.
I tried looking this stuff up on lowes.com and stuff but can't find sh*t
what are the stardard sizes for drywall and the cost?
and what about fiberglass insulation? size and cost?
thanks guys
Are you gonna try to insulate and heat the whole 60x40 building? Or build a room inside it, like they do for office space in warehouses? That's a big building, and even if you insulated the entire thing, it would take hours (or days) to bring it up to temperature, unless you heat it all winter.

My steel shop was insulated with much wider rolls - I'd bet they're 4 feet wide. My neighbor's steel shop used the same stuff. No idea on cost though.
Might consider a waste oil heater. Would be a nice way to get rid of those pesky used fluids.
As far as drywall use the biggest sheets you can. Straight runs use 12' or 16' sheets this minimizes the amout of seems and that means less plastering and sanding. A 4x8 sheet of 1/2" sheetrock runs about $12 a 12' sheet runs about $18
