Looks like ARP has a thread chaser:

I was surprised... even McMaster-Carr doesn't show any M11x2.0 taps of any flavor. And they have EVERYTHING.

Exclamation

Got my kit from http://www.threadkits.com/ Part # J42385-100. And it cost 380.00 new! It's a GEN 3 M11-2.0 head bolt kit and I just used one helicoil with nine left. If you want I will sell it to you for 300 plus shipping. Let me know.

The LS1 threads are "rolled". That's why ARP is the only one making it. If you use any other chaser in the head bolt holes, you will remove the rolled material and weaken your threads.

Rolled meaning the face of the thread is rounded? This has to require a special tap. I'll have to take a closer look at the threads on a set of new head bolt I have in my garage. What is the advantage of a rolled thread. That's a new one on me.

Its something to do with how they are created, one is done by cutting the other is rolled through a die or something, the later tends to be cheaper

Are you just cleaning the threads in the block or repairing threads? I made my own thread cleaning tool by cutting to grooves into an old head bolt on the bench grinder. What do you guys think ? I can post pics next week.
