What tools do I need to put together and take apart weatherpak connectors?? Certain crimpers, wire ends, removal tools? Also where can I get these tools and parts?

turns out summit has all the tools and materials except the crimpers. just search for weatherpack and you'll get what you need.

i wonder if a local auto parts store would have the tools b/c i think i have seen them sell the connectors.

Weatherpack connectors are pretty simple. For the ones with round pins you need a pin extractor which you can find at almost any autoparts store. For the ones with square or blade style contacts you can also buy a pin extractor, but I actually prefer my homemade extractor that I made from a piece of flat spring material. They do sell very nice crimpers, but you can put them together with a couple pairs of needlenose in a pinch, it just takes 4 crimps instead of one.
