i cant think of any dyno that doesnt need a pit besidse a dynapack... a dyno is a rolling cylinder that puts load on the drivetrain and measures how fast your car can spin it (in a nutshell).

mustang dyno might nor require as much of a pit.

We use a Dyno Dynamics Dyno; see link

http://www.redline-motorsports.net/?content=services

It takes 2 seconds to move it from its spot.

mustang dyno's need a very large pit, they make one of the largest dyno's out there.

the dynodynamics, and the dynopack are the smallest ones that do not require a pit to my knowledge.

DynoJet has an above ground unit that requires ramps to get on as well.

dynojet requires a four post lift for their above ground dyno. I'm also getting ready to build a garage and purchase a dyno. and it is about 25000 for just the dyno not including lift or pit cover. Out of curiosity, why no pit?

I have used a lot of dyno's and this one is by far the best IMO! Well worth the money and VERY easy to move out of the way.

No offense but you must not have any dyno's anywhere close to even consider buying one for tuning a 13.5 second car...You must have a very fast project coming along?

I am in the process of looking into purchasing a DynoJet, or Dyno Dynamica with the EFIlive package and i only have a 12.9 second car.
Just because we (the op & i) are looking into dynos does not mean we have to have fast cars.
I am going to use it for my personal shop and and there is a Hot Rod shop 15 miles away w/o a dyno so i will have some busniess and for when ricers want that "amazing" print out that says you have made 100hp! lol
