Got an air compressor tonight
Now I have to get some tools, a water trap/filter, and pressure regulator. Alls I have right now is a blower attachment, and the thing to air up tires. I could feel moisture coming out of the blower, so I know I need the water trap thing.
I thought it was strange that it didn't come with a power cable. Oh well. I bought one that plugs into the same outlet as the dryer. I think I'm going to run a new outlet so I don't have to unplug the dry each time I want to use it

garage 240V, since that never gets used, and
ran hard conduit to several dryer outlet type
sockets for my compressors and welders.
Be sure to drain the tank before & after use,
and you'll cut the entrained water levels as
well as extending tank life. Especially if you
live in a swamp like me, the amount you'll get
is pretty substantial (you could even fill the
tank with water if you were careless enough, for
long enough).
Do basically the same thing to the oil drain (without the ball valve) to get the oil drain away from the compressor. opening that thing up and the oil draining all over the side of the tank is a mess to clean up.
