Default air cut off tool

Anyone ever use a air cut off from Lowes (kobalt) or home depot (husky)? My harbor freight special has no nuts!!!

What's the flow rating, motor, and tank size of your compressor?

The HF stuff is good for what it is, a little crude, but plenty good enough for guys who do not use them 8 hours a day.

HF air tools are hit and miss....especially when they are on sale for 9.99...lol. I am happy someone tried the husky I was gonna buy that one. I'm an x body guy
and my cut off is the only HF air tool I have and its junk! I can stall it easily....1 minute or 1 hour of use don't matter, it's no good at all!!

Hey Mike,

I gave mine a workout this weekend and it did pretty good, I did have it stall a few times but that was when it ran low on oil, just added oil and I was good to go...

You can even see it laying there on my trailer ramp in this pic...

i have to give this one piece of advice. If you use an air tool enough that you consider it "often" I suggest buying a quality unit. I cant give any advise on the ones you mentioned, but I use several Ingersol cutoff tools, impacts, and air ratchets at work and they are top notch. I own several of the same brand for home use. Doesn't the home depot stuff have a lifetime warranty? I cant remember. If they do, then seems like it was a nice choice.

If you have a smallish compressor, buying a cheap electric cutoff tool will work better. Walmart has a $30 B&D electric that has worked great for trimming my firewall in my conversion project. They have griding and cutting wheels for it.

I've got Ingersoll Rand, Craftsman, Husky, and a few cheapie HF and eagle die grinders. I've actually used the HF more than any of them, and I've never had an issue. But I don't cut a heck of a lot with them, I'm usually sanding or polishing.
