Default Spring Compressor

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=43753

I did a little search and found that a few people in one thread used this spring compressor, however i wasn't sure if this was optimal for say lowering springs such as mine (hotchkis) where the coils are extremely thick and close together. How's your guys experience with this? How exactly does it work? I can't see where you would compress the spring..

i rented one of those bulky spring compressors from o reilly, and it just wasn't going to fit in between those coils. had to ghetto stuff out for it to work which you don't want to do and i won't do again..just basically need something that will fit in between the coils and be more efficient.

I successfully lowered/changed out the springs on my 99 Z this past summer with this tool. An air compressor/impact is a must have with this too.

Getting it in between the coils and removing it from the coils
