Looks like everything is running the way I expect, and the data import tool I wrote is working well.
The current site will be made read-only while the import is being performed. This means you'll be able to READ LS1Tech, but can't make new posts or edit old posts. You also will not be able to PM someone, but you can read the PM's you currently have. I expect the site to be in this condition for no more than 12 hours total, and it will be timed to coincide with the hours of least usage so we can affect the fewest people possible (10PM to 10AM, CDT)
One VERY IMPORTANT thing to note, is the user accounts are being imported with your DISPLAYED name for your login. So for example -- my LOGIN name is currently 'BlackLS1Formula', but my posts show up with the name 'Brains'. When the new site goes live, I will log in as 'Brains' ... If you have any problems, first give the "I forgot my login" function a try. It will email you the information needed to get logged in. If you have a "funky" name, perhaps with symbols in it (ie. Joe @ FastBox.com), remember it will need to be entered exactly like that to get logged in. Of course if you run into troubles, the staff is on-hand to help you out. I'll be checking my email periodically, and I'll do my best to be on AOL Instant Messenger after/during the conversion as well. My IM handle is 'BlackLS1Formula' .
