That was exactly the idea behind my banner, LSX and Drag Racing.

This one is nice and clean... Any that have been posted so far are better than the silly 5th gen cartoon. Not that it was bad three years ago but with the real car here it looks silly.

 

Thanks for all of the compliments on the design. After getting done with GM and the trademark issues I had to change the design a little. No logos but the badges were fine. Took out the wording on the top. As per Sharpe I put in the C5 Vette and this is what it looks like now.

Anything would be better than that generated image of the 5th gen with the FMIC on it. I'm so tired of seeing it....

 

Ok, tried a little different approach. Same style just a little more reformed. Let me know what yall think.

I wonder if it would be possible to have multiples banner cycle at different times of the day. Kind of like the pictures on the main page...just an idea, IB.

 

Personally, I like your other offerings a lot more. For one, it keeps the oval logo. I think the one you just did is a little more busy.

I'll see where the all the mods are at on the topic, then go from there about getting it changed. But, just so we're clear, I'm not spearheading this. I like the current one just fine and don't care anyway.

Agreed that 5th gen is hideous. Get rid of it already.

 

Im ready to see it have 4th gens in it. And maybe a c5. Hell anything with an LS1.

 

yea the sketched 5th gen is kinda tired now but i think the multiple banner idea is pretty cool just cycle them on each page or somethin. i dont necessarily think it HAS to be changed i just think it should be a little more detailed and should draw you in and make you wanna keep lookin around ya know

Did you ever get any response from the guys higher up?

 

Don't forget a new banner would have to flow with the darker LS1Tech theme some people use, but I do agree a new banner would be nice the computer generated Camaro (the concept car no less) with a FMIC is very boring.


I like the Idea of having a 5th gen, vette, pontiac or a rotating design at least.
