I guess trying to get a C5 in the banner would be pointless because the number of C5 owners on this site is dwarfed by the number of 4th gen owners.

That being said I agree with the guy who said we should model it after the perf. trucks banner. Having multiple LS vehicles makes sense to me.

Maybe a stupid idea...but could you use the 35th Anniv SS LE stripes as "inspiriation" in the dark blue/light blue background?

That is the best picture I could find of a TA in the proper position. If someone's willing to get me a pic, I can work something out.

 

More c5 owners than 5th gen owners, go figure.

 

Yeah, I was thinking that since you can't fit every LSx powered car on the banner, maybe some "inspiration" from the ones you can't fit as part of the image. Since you have a T/A and 5th Gen, putting the stripes of the 35th Anniv SS (the checkered ones that kind of fade) in the background brought the 4th Gen Camaro into the image without actually being there.

All in all, though, I really like your banner...It's hard to take the ideas of so many forum members and keep it clean and you've done a really nice job. Also, I like the T/A and Camaro facing different directions...it looks less like a parking lot row shot that way.

 

With the two stock-ish cars in the banner, it'd be cool to get a C5 in the background pulling the nose on launch.

 

I don't think Adrian will mind if I use different cars in the other banners, but he has not gotten back to me on that.

Like on Darkside, I could used a C5 and on Black and White I could do a Camaro.

I think it looks good, but the cars are a bit too stock looking for a site that offers everything that this site offers.

 

I think the right side of it looks like ****, the way you ended the gradient looks absolutely awful and the shadows under the car are jagged. The front passenger wheel of the TA needs to be erased better, there is still some of the previous image left, causing a white blob to appear on top of the blue lines. The erasing done on the camaro is awful as well. There's more but my eyes are actually starting to bleed. I'll give you credit for the concept though, I actually think having a 4th and 5th gen is better than having only a 5th gen on there.

If you guys want to have the banner changed, you should present something that is amazing and professional looking. You can't honestly expect the owners to put up some two bit hack job that was done in 5 minutes. You have to make them want to change it because it's better, not just change it to change it.

I would not put that up as the new banner. That thing screams unprofessional. Sorry.

Understood, I was just thinking some non-stock wheels, maybe ride height.... Nothing retarted like a widebody or anything lol.

 

I think its much better than the current. I mean its real cars, and not a cartoon. Not hard competition.

 

throw a sketch of an LSX block up there...with fire shooting out of the cylinders...like the LSX SHOOTOUT ad in GMHTP mag
