So your artistic opinion says the the red and blue banner with a less than realistic drawing of a 5th gen is better than the suggestions on the last page? To each his own I guess, to me it's a no brainer

If those are the choices then, yes, I prefer the current banner. But that is not the intent or meaning of my previous post.
Somebody spent too much money at art school!
But talkin' opinions, I don't see a logo as art. I see a logo as an extension of a corporate being therefore restricted in some way(Such as the non-use of emblems). I don't think something with boundaries can be considered art because (IMO) true art has no boundaries. Also I think that everyone is an artist just with varying degrees of talent, creativity, and objectivity. Please note that I did not say taste which although will be different, it is not for better or worse. Of course some people's taste may be a bit more seasoned which I beleive you are referring but I'm not going into that because I want to go look at car stuff now.

Your distinction between creativity and taste makes me realize I wasn’t thinking clearly. My objection was to the idea of creation or design by committee; the very reason the 5th-Gen is not beautiful. This poll is not doing that. Thanks for the good-natured comments.

This touches one of the reasons I prefer the current logo - it depicts the 5th-Gen as it should look.

Let me tell you about this thread. This thread has ratios. Ratio of the total percentage of people who have viewed this thread/idea. Ratio of those people who decided it was important enough to post in said thread. Ratio of those people who posted positive opinions. Even though those may not be important to you, you don't own or run this website and never will. Anyone who DOES own or run a website like this would realize the merit of these ratios, instead of blow off the "300 measly votes."
I honestly think that the BULK of the viewers/posters of LS1tech honestly don't give a **** about the banner. LS1tech is a brand, and you don't want to change a trademark item like your front page's banner. THAT is why it hasn't changed. But thanks for making us feel shitty today phantom.
