Where's the 2010 LS1Tech calendars.....

ZAngel said last year that more than likely they weren't going to make them again. She said they weren't bringing in as much money, but... I'm sure at the time it had a lot to do with IB taking over the site and then the whole planet / Brains (her husband) debacle. I am sad to see them go though. I've bought one every year I've been on here and was dissapointed to hear that we weren't going to get another one. I thought the last one was great. I need to find a new 2010 calendar now.

Has anyone else thought about making some? It might be a bit late by now, but why wouldnt it be possible?
I work at a print/graphics shop.. If i had 12 quality pictures of some cars I could print some up at work.
Im not sure how I would be able to come in price-wise versus the previous years, but I am willing to check and see if there is still interest in this.
I think they were what, $15 each in previous years?
Anyone who is still interested please chime in and i will see what i can do. I will take my calendar into work tomorrow and take some measurements/check on pricing.
Depending on how many people would want these, I would do it as a service to the community and not for any monetary gain. I get out of school in a few days so I should have time.
** This is all assuming i can get permission from the powers that be here on the site and the makers of the calendars from the previous years. I dont want to be making any enemies here.

ok, i will get on that today. How much is a fair price?
What if i get this together by jan 31, 2010? Is that too late for you to want a calendar?
Who on here do i need to get permission from? IB adrian is who did them before?
Before i get any hopes up i want to go through all proper formal channels so everything is on the upandup legally
Keep askin around so i can judge how much interest there is.
I also need 13 good, high res pictures.

Ok so heres the shindig.
IF:
I can get permission from the board
I can get permission from the previous makers
I can get 100 (or close to) orders.
If less people want them, I can still do it, but cost would go up slightly.
Than I can print them up for $8 each, plus shipping (flat rate USPS I assume?)
This is 7 sheets of 11x17 paper, full color of course, center stitch.
They would basically be in the same format as last year. The cover (I could probably make it out of thicker paper if necessary, but I don't think it will be) would be a unique picture with a LS1tech Logo on it, then the back side of the cover will be the picture for the first month.
This would require 14 unique pictures (13 months + cover)
It would be 13 months with 7 sheets (jan-jan)
Our printer here can only print out to about .25 inch from the edge of the paper, so it would have a small white margin. I could print it on 12x18 paper, but the man-hours and extra cost doesn't seem worth it to me.
I haven't looked into where or how to get the calendar design, so that is still to be worked on. I'm sure I can figure that out somehow.
As for Ads or User-names and descriptions of Mods done to the car, I am up in the air.
I was not a huge fan of the mod description section of the previous years, but im sure some people were.
I would rather just put the persons user-name (and/or) real name under-neath the picture (below the stitch, on the calendar half), as well as the model's name if she desired.
As for the ads, I am not sure who/what was the reason or person behind that before.
If there is enough support for ads, I wouldn't mind including small ones like the previous years calendar. They money would go to the website, of course.
Like I said, I am not in this for money, just for fun. As long as I can cover the cost of the printing and postage, than I will be happy.
I enjoyed the calendars each year, and after the year was over I always cut them up and put them on the wall in my garage. I would be sad if they ended and would like to continue the tradition.
So, Let me know what you guys think. Also, who can I go about talking to on the forum to get the boards permission, and who was the previous maker of these calendars? Before anything starts I need to get their permission.
Help drum up some support for this if you can!
-Chris

I sent a Pm to "IB adrian".
Here is a list so far. If I were to print one up, I would put a "preview" on here before I did. If everyone liked it, I will proceed.
Like before, I would ask for money before I printed any up. I will probably do batches of 50.
This is just so I have a idea about who wants one, nothing definite or final yet. If you want one, please add your name. If you want 2 or more, please add your name once for each calendar you would want.

The official powers to be in order would be IB Adrian, Nine Ball / Pro Stock John, Bad Juju.
You've got me on the list, but I am officially in. The way they did it before is they would start a thread for people to submit pictures of their car, model, and picture taking ability. They'd take submissions from there and pick what they considered to be the top 13.
I always joked with my friends about having CCWs, or Fikse, and a hot chick got you into the running for the calendar automatically regardless of the car.
If you can get it done by the beginning of the year I say great for you. I guess in only printing 100 of them you are limiting yourself so that is good. I think the issue before was they would print a ton of them and start selling them in August / October. I know they always ended up with a ton of extras.

No more interest? I sent emails to IB adrian and Nineball.
We will see what they say after the weekend.
What forum can we post this thread in where it will get more attention and maybe gather more support?
