All points given are valid points! Another idea instead of seniority due to post count could be seniority due to post likes? This could weed out the crappy post ****** and give seniority based on the number of likes one may get over the years for providing good info or a fun thread! It was stated that the mods can't keep track of every post so why not let the other members do it? Acurazine has this in place so tweaking it to give the perks after someone has hit 6000 acumulated likes may be a good option! What do you guys think? we can be limited to only being able to like a single post once per person... just an idea people

I like all the insight from everyone because it helps to make a great forum even better and bad ideas get shot down! This post count idea may have been a bad idea but it allows others to think outside the box and get new fresh ideas to help this sight grow even more... I have called this place home since 2008 but was on here as early as 2003 reading all the info that interested me!

I agree. I absolutely hate to think of a "like" button here on LS1tech.

While we're on this subject, I have seen a couple (literally 2 I think) that have their screen name in blue. What does that mean?

Outside of that, I could care less about "perks" or status.. Sorry OP, no offense.

Before the official transfer of LS1Tech ownership to Internet Brands, our off-topic site (SSU) was still directly connected to LS1Tech. At that time, if you were a mod on SSU (but not here), they made your color blue on this site, to signify your status on the other site.

I wasn't aware that any of the old blue names were still left. I thought that was done away with long ago, but I guess not.

Why would anyone care about seniority on a message board anyways?

There are guys like me who have been in the LS1 game over 10 years but rarely post. Why should some n00b who joins this year and ****** it up get some kind of special treatment?

What about a join date rep system then, not just the 10 year vets?

I agree. The only thing I like more than knowing what every single person I have ever known is doing at every single minute of the day, is being able to tell every single person I have ever known what *I* am doing at every single minute of the day. Nothing like an inflated sense of social self-importance to brighten your day!
