"Liking" a post and Reputation
"Liking" a post and Reputation Is there anyway LS1TECH can implement a Reputation system like some of the other message boards use? I wouldn't mind being able to "like" a post either, i.e. the post would show ________,_______ and _______ like this post. Thanks!
I think it would help to weed out the BS from the actual true information! You would be far less likely to listen to somebody with a negative reputation as well! A post that many people agree with would be seen as more credible with such a system as well. I'd be more likely to believe a post with 5 "likes" and a poster with a large positive reputation than a post with 0 "likes" and a "troll"

If you can't figure out who is a troll and who to believe by reading the content of their posts...well, I'm just not sure what to tell you.
It's fluff, kinda like picture battles. We're working with IB on fixing that too.

And I think it would lead to an unnecessary internet popularity contest that would take away from the true purpose of this board: tech content. It could also lead to giving people a negative rep out of spite, including creating multiple accounts to ensure the damage is substantial, leading to a moderating mess that, again, is unnecessary.
