Default No "recent topics"?

Has the "my recent topics" feature been deleted? I haven't been able to access it during the last 24 hours.

I have the "automatic update" feature enabled on my laptop, and I get notifications from Microsoft bi-weekly. I recently downloaded an update for Internet Explorer, but it didn't affect any other programs I'm running, or websites (automotive) that I visit.

Please provide some further details. Any error messages? Do you see the "My Recent Topics" link in the navbar? Do you see the drop-down menu to select the time period? If the answer to the latter question is no, then you may have some security/plugin that is filtering javascript as that function is required in the browser to enable that link to work properly.

Jeremy, I see no error messages, and do not see the "my recent topics" heading in the navbar. Reading from left to right, my navbar shows 'User CP', 'iTrader', 'Timeslips', 'Photos', 'Members', 'Search', 'New Posts', 'Mark Forums Read', 'Open Contacts Popup', 'Used Cars', 'Vendor Directory', and 'Log Out"......

Just by that I'd suspect your browser, or security software, is filtering javascript - although "My Recent Topics" should still appear but won't work because it's a drop-down menu and requires javascript to operate. Reason why I still suspect your browser or security software filtering javascript is because "Mark Forums Read" and "Open Contacts Popup" aren't top-level menus (meaning they're submenus) and so you shouldn't see them without going through a parent menu. Those two should be under the "Quick Links" parent menu.

Make sure you do have javascript enabled in your browser and that you're not using 3rd party plugins that filter/block javascripts. I'd also try flushing your browser's cache but that's likely not the issue.

Thanks for your suggestions....I'm not as "computer literate" as I'd like to be, because computers became plentiful LONG after I grew up and finished my formal schooling. My employer sent me for a few courses, but they were just to allow me to do whatever I had to do, while I was on work time.

Nonetheless, I verified that Java is still installed on my laptop and scripting is enabled. I haven't changed my security software, and as I previously mentioned, the only change I made recently, was to install the Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 program upgrade. I visit the 'Corvette Forum' regularly, and they are also an Internet Brands owned website, and have a similar format. I can use the "My Recent Topics" feature there, with no issues.....

I hate to take any risks that would screw up my programming, but I might try un-installing the IE11, and go back to the IE9 that I had before.

You likely got the Internet Explorer 11 update. The missing "My Recent Topics" menu, which uses javascript, is missing because Internet Explorer 11 appears to have some compatbility issues with some javascripts used on websites. Prior Internet Explorer versions did not have this issue. This issue is not confined to just LS1Tech.

There is a ticket open for the developers on this issue but it still is pending. The holidays are probably adding extra time.

Note that Internet Explorer 10 and older, which you can easily downgrade back to, or alternative browsers such as Chrome and Firefox don't have the issue. So if you want to temporarily "fix" this issue, you could use an alternate browser (Chrome or Firefox) or downgrade your Internet Explorer to 10 or older.
