No "recent topics"?
I have the "automatic update" feature enabled on my laptop, and I get notifications from Microsoft bi-weekly. I recently downloaded an update for Internet Explorer, but it didn't affect any other programs I'm running, or websites (automotive) that I visit.

Make sure you do have javascript enabled in your browser and that you're not using 3rd party plugins that filter/block javascripts. I'd also try flushing your browser's cache but that's likely not the issue.

Nonetheless, I verified that Java is still installed on my laptop and scripting is enabled. I haven't changed my security software, and as I previously mentioned, the only change I made recently, was to install the Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 program upgrade. I visit the 'Corvette Forum' regularly, and they are also an Internet Brands owned website, and have a similar format. I can use the "My Recent Topics" feature there, with no issues.....
I hate to take any risks that would screw up my programming, but I might try un-installing the IE11, and go back to the IE9 that I had before.
From search over to the right it now reads "new posts" "mark forums read" "open contacts pop up" "used cars" "vendor directory" "log out"
There is a ticket open for the developers on this issue but it still is pending. The holidays are probably adding extra time.
Note that Internet Explorer 10 and older, which you can easily downgrade back to, or alternative browsers such as Chrome and Firefox don't have the issue. So if you want to temporarily "fix" this issue, you could use an alternate browser (Chrome or Firefox) or downgrade your Internet Explorer to 10 or older.
