Default Got A Good Idea For Sales Section

WHY DONT LS1 TECH SETUP SOME SORT OF TRADE INS. HWERE BUYERS AND SELERS PAY FOR THE PARTS TO BE SHIPED TO A HOLDER AND THEN EXCHANGED FOR MONEY THEREFORE PEOPLE CAN SAFELY DO TRANSACTIONS WHILE MAKING SOME EXTRA REVENUES FOR THE FORUM...... I KNOW ID FOR SURE USE THE INURANCE ON BIG PURCHASES LIKE IF IM SENDING A $1000 CROSS COUNTRY ID FEEL MUCH BETTER SENDIN IT TO A 3RD PARTY FOR SAFE KEEPING THIS WOULD VIRTUALLY ELMINATE RIP OFFS WHILE HELPING TO FUND THE BOARD....

I made that same exact recommendation a few months ago ......I think it is a great idea, but would probably suck for whoever would take the responsability of accepting everything and sending it out again.

If LS1Tech is looking for that middle man, I would be glad to do it....I don't have a job right now and go to college, so I could use a little extra cash to give to right back to our supporting vendors

its the type of thing that could turn into a full time job being that we have 18,000 members ... it would be nice to have like 4 spread out accross the country or mabye even a rep in each state that colud verify shipments and inspect products so if i wanna buy a hood in CA i colud pay the rep to take a look at it and make sure it gets shipped

i sell baseball cards online thru a company http://www.naxcom.com and only the money goes thru them. first the buyer pays the site for what they want, then i get an email of what they bought and i ship it straight to the buyer and then i get the money in about a week after every goes thru.

I agree it could be a little expensive but I believe it is worth it, and should be considered an option to all members.

Maybe a good idea would be getting reps for different parts of the country to keep prices down on shipping.
i.e. NJ member sells ported TB to member in Cali. Cali member sends TB to West Coast rep, and NJ member sends payment to East Coast rep (me) when both reps receive product, they send the products out to whoever its supposed to go to.

For something large like a hood would probably be too costly to have to have shipped multiple times, but like you said maybe a rep from each state could check out the product then confirm everything.

Figure costs shouldn't be too bad....For something like a hood, of course payment for gas and time.
For regular things like nitrous kits, tb or other small things, it would only cost double for shipping and payment to the regional rep to inspect and send out.

Having a clearinghouse like that is a good idea, it would remain to be seen if folks would be willing to pay extra for that service. I wil discuss with Tony.

well start it out basic and cheep just collect money and wait for parts to be shipment to be verfied by the buyer before relasing money (cheap) and work your way up to more elborate things like reciveing parts for inspection (less cheap)
