L92 is a General Motors option code (RPO) for a type of engine. There are dozens of those just for different engines. It's not an acronym like what this list is for.

That's probably referring to a company that used to be a sponsor here, but they're not a sponsor anymore, due to not paying their bills.

SDCE is an acronym for its name, "SD Concept Engineering". I think the SD stands for "Scott Dickinson", the owner. They sell various forced-induction stuff.

"lid" ?? I'm not quite sure what it means. My guess is that it's a term for a type of after market air-intake?? I'll feel like an idiot either way when I find out.

Yep. (And not an acronym. )

A couple examples:

http://www.lmperformance.com/2099/1.html
"The Whisper LS1 Induction Lid replaces your current air filter lid and gets rid of those horsepower-robbing air baffles on either side of your stock airbox. The Whisper lid has a much less restrictive airflow path so horsepower is increased."

http://www.motorsporttech.com/fbody_air_intake01.asp

GM High Tech Performance magazine article about them: http://www.motorsporttech.com/press/...ay2004_02.html

^Thanks! I'm used to hearing CAI, so I figured that LID stood for a specific F-body design. Now I know it's an actual "lid". My stupidity level just dropped a point.(many more to go)

This list has been duplicated here:

This is an LS1Wiki article that lends itself to user editing. Think something can be clarified better? Elaborated on? Added? Do it yourself!
