Probably his way of saying AF will get tore up in there. I don't care what you other branches say......it does suck when the airconditioning and cable go out!

God bless you Air Force and Navy brothers, silly bastards. I am Army and when I was in Kuwait I would do FO and GFAC (Forward Observer and Ground Forward Air Controller) training with the Air Force and Navy and I actually had some guys at Ali Al Salem bitch because the steak dinner they got was to "fatty". On the USS Stenis (Aircraft carrier) the saliors bitched about steak and shrimp night because it wasnt as good as the steak and lobster night they had the week before.

They didnt believe me when I told them I ate MRE's for weeks straight and was HAPPY to get some hot A's even if they were nasty. Different worlds for sure.

BTW I am all for a military section.

Go Army

I think it could happen, and wouldnt mind being a mod. I doubt it would be all to political. If you do serve or have served you know politics suck, and what we feel or think personaly has nothing to do with our jobs we do. We do what were told, sence or not. All out of faith and because we cant always see the big picture.

Having a taist of home and a place to talk to people in simular conditions as yourself are VERY important while so far away. If you've never been there i doubt you could understand, but there is times you dont get to contact anyone for a month or more. And getting back into the swing of family life after being gone so long can get rough.

I'm always up to mod. I'd especially love to moderate an Armed Forces forum. I spend enough time here as it is already.

93LS1RX7, I know what you mean. I've cross trained with some Air Force guys and they thought setting up the gear behind the motor pool was field time. Everyone that serves is g2g in my book...but the different branches ARE very different.

My sentiments exactly. I'm army. 8 years now. Try 2 months MRE's and 2 bottles of water for 1 1/2 months in F*CKING JUNE.

But all said and done I WISHED I WOULD HAVE GONE AIR FORCE.

And Yeah. Hell Yeah. I'm down.
