I think it's a great idea. My dad is retired military and I live about 20 min. from the largest armed post in the free world..and i know a lot of ls1'ers that are @ Ft. Hood.

I just created some new avatars for those of you that want to show your branch with pride. You should be able to find them on the avatar listing in your profile now.

Great idea, we can tell people what really goes on over there, well, the stuff that's NOT classified.

Thanks for all the support.

The only problem is some people will turn it into a political forum.

look in the avatars section, and then the "custom" selection. You should be able to pick it from the display.

This is a car enthusiast forum, and all of our military members hopefully can find some relaxation and fun just by surfing our various forums and talking about what we all have a common interest in - GM performance cars.

This site is as successful as it is simply because we have stayed on course, focusing primarily on the technical and racing aspects of these vehicles. Hopefully everyone can understand and appreciate this.

We would encourage you guys to start threads like this in our Lounge area, it seems even a thread like this can gather up all of our military members, so feel free to create more threads if you would like them.

Nine Ball even though I am for a Military section I totally see your point and agree. I have only been here a short time and that was one of the first things I noticed about this site was it was strictly buisness......so I believe you are right why change a good thing.
