Default 'Remember Me' not working

I've kept the "remember me" box checked for the last 2 years so I wouldn't have to type my password everytime I go online... And today I've had to type my password everytime I go online and even a couple times while surfing the site....? Just wondering if I'm the only one?

Mine works fine. Have never had a problem with it. I log into the site atleast 3 times a day. Maybe its your browser? Have you considered trying FireFox?

your password and user name's are stored as cookies in your internet cache folder, a program or you are probably clearing it (ie norton,or zonealarm, spyware scanner)

Usually this happens when you have "internet security" software running, and it clobbers session cookies...

Try using Firefox and see if the same thing happens with a different browser. It could be linked to some new update in IE (which I don't use anymore)

If Firefox works, let me know the version of IE you're using, and I'll see if I can duplicate it on my end as well.

I downloaded firefox and it worked! I was using IE version 6.0 on all of my computers, and like I said above it wasn't working on any of them. Thanks for the help!

I was wrong.... firefox is doing the same thing It worked the first time... but isn't saving it again? I've checked on all three of my computers just to be sure before posting again... Don't want you to think I'm complaining... just letting you know... maybe all three of my computers are the problem... but I can't figure it out

Add me to the list of people experiencing this same problem, I'm having the same issues for the last week or so. It's a real pisser when I log in, then the next screen I go to, which is usually a forum, and it logs me out. Log back in.... surf that forum, try to make a reply or PM somebody, and I get the log in screen again.

I am having the same issue at work and at home. I am running Zone Alarm at home. Some server deployed Norton crap at work. It's never been an issue until the last week though. IE both places. I tried Firefox (which I think sucks BTW) the other day and had the same thing. I shut down Zone Alarm completely to see if it was causing issue, no change. All cookies have been cleared quite a few times. Options have been reset. All temp files have been cleared. Restarts don't help. Not sure what else to try really.

Also worth noting is that it seems hit or miss. I'll have trouble with it for a couple hours then it will be fine for a little while. Then later on, same problem again. Sometimes it works longer than others. And there's been a day or two since it's happened that I had no trouble at all. And today... I had trouble for the first half hour or so...and now it seems to be doing okay. I didn't change anything. Also, when this happens, it always shows me as logged in when I refresh on the index page. Then as soon as I go to a forum, it switches to me being logged out. I can then go back to the index which will still show me as logged out but then I hit the refresh and it shows me logged in again.

This is also the only place I have issues with this.

For all you using Zone Alarm click on "Privacy" then on "Main tab" Under cookie control turn it down to off, then hit "cache cleaner" tab and make sure there isn't a check mark in the box that says" Clean cache automatically"....Some how your guy's computer is clearing cache, and thats where you password and username is stored.. (if You clear the cache then you'll have to retype your info)

If you have Norton system works then disable the "one button check up" cause that also deletes cache files.... if you run Norton clean up or Norton cleansweep this will also delete cache... if you delete your cache then you'll have to retype your info. so disable them or don't run them as often
