go buy a usb memory key/thumb drive/memory stick/memory pen whatever other names people call it...
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0211602
insert in usb drive
go to www.portableapps.com
download and save portable apps TO THE EXTERNAL USB MEMORY KEY
standard give you all the programs and lite allows you to chose which programs you want - the only program you need is firefox - however i recommend standard so you have more programs at your disposal (and not much more memory is necessary)
once download is complete remove from PC...
go to work (or whatever computer has restrictions on it) & insert into usb drive
run portable apps
icon will/should appear in lower right box with clock
click icon & so program appears... then click firefox!
here are some pics to aid everyone

Most decent security solutions include a browser filter, so if they prevent you from installing Firefox, they should be blocking HTTP traffic sent to/from Firefox as well.
Also, a browser, portable or not, does little to bypass any filtering done between you and the web.

My employer does browser filtering, though, and has blocked firefox. Tried this first week I was there.....
Most companies with a real IT guy that knows what he is doing have a seperate firewall/filter that is between the router and the in coming T1 lines.
internet-->---cable modem--->--firewall/filter---->---router--->--switches--->--workstations
Which means it doesn't matter what you run on your local computer, because the websites get filtered before they ever reach your internal network.
In other words, you and your friends just happen to get lucky...

Nothing you can install on your local computer is going to stop a proxy based web filter. And if you are running WCCP to capture port 80 traffic, the router is going to direct the packet to your web filter anyway. One easy way to defeat it is to use an external open proxy that isn't already banned by your web filter. Expect this to be hit or miss...
