Default I have a suggestion for the ls1tech calender.

Is there any possability of looking into offering a conversions and hybrids calender? I know that I would definetly purchace this, and with the seemingly growing popularity of these swaps everywhere, I'm sure there are a lot more of others out there that would buy this also. Just a thought, and figured that I would throw it out there. There are a lot of cars right from our own section here on ls1tech that I really think deserve some attention like that. I mean, look at the post counts on some of these things!!!

It is difficult enough to schedule the normal cars and girls for one calendar. We do include some conversions in these calendars too. 2007 calendar has a '68 Camaro with a supercharged LS1 in it. Also has an 8-second Mustang with a nitrous powered LS1 in it.

I understand that it is difficult to do this kind of stuff, Is there any way then to maybe take a poll and see how many would buy one if you were to pick a year to do the calendar in place of the normal one that is put out? You know maybe dedicate only 1 year to it, and then go back to the norm. Not trying to seem pushy, just think it would be awsome to do that's all.

That won't work, LS1TECH represents ALL LSX vehicles, not just conversions. I guarantee we have 1000s more LSX powered car fans than just conversion fans here.

50,000 visitors per day, how many do you figure are conversions owners out of that?

In order to do a calendar devoted to conversions, we would need a guaranteed 1,000 prepaid orders. We have had requests for several specialty calendars. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to do more than one calendar per year. We appreciate your interest and hope you will continue supporting the annual calendar even if we do not include all conversion vehicles. If you have, or know of, a conversion vehicle that would make a good addition to our calendar, please enter your submission next year.

Tiffany is correct, we have to order a minimum of 1,000 calendars per year. We don't even sell 1,000 of the regular calendars as it is.

I don't think so. We sold most of the calendars we ordered and used the rest as promotion for the site. The 2008 calendars should be released at the end of Summer.

how are the cars chosen?....

on the last page of the calendar i think it'd be cool to have a checkerboard of cars...not assigned to months or anything just the last page....i mean the more different cars the better...

there are alot of guys on here that take really good pictures with really nice cars, itd be nice to a have a contest, like the pic of the month for a 1'x1' spot on the back, and have like 15-20 of them...hell if my car or one of my friends cars made that id buy one and ive never actually own a calendar

We have a submission in Jan. for people to post pictures of their vehicles. We leave the post open until the end of Feb. and then the committee votes on the top 14. Over the next several months, we take the pictures of each vehicle with a model. Since we do 13 months and a cover, we usually don't have any blank pages. The back cover is used to display information about the vehicle shown on the cover. However, I will keep your idea in mind for 2009.

Tiffany, I totally understand, and by no means am I trying to tell you how to do it, just thought I would throw the suggestion out there. I am amazed that you guys do not sell the 1000 regular calenars. Hell, I get one every year.

I know this might be a long shot, but since I am so passoinate about lsx conversion cars would there be any possability of getting in on the whole calendar project for a later year. I might be able to do a lot of the leg work and arrange the garanteed 1000 orders, as well as the vehicles for the calendar itself. I would go as far as to say to financially assist also. I live in the central TX area. I believe that I might be able to help get more of the regular calendars sold as well. I am not trying to be pushy, or not take no for an answer, but am only trying to brainstorm how to make this a possability. What do you think?

Putting together a calendar is WAY more work than you think. At this moment, the calendar has practically become a full time job for me. We always do a highly professional calendar and with the quantity we order, it gets really expensive. In the past, we have not pushed the advertising for the calendar and usually sell right around the 1,000 mark. This year we are using some of the suggestions that we received in the past in order to make this calendar blow all the others out of the park! I believe this calendar is going to be a HUGE hit. I believe if I were to take time away from the main calendar, I just don't think it would be as good as it could be. I also don't think I could handle doing two. As I said, it is a lot work and some major stress putting this thing together. I always love the final product but I'm not sure I want to push my luck with taking on more projects than I can handle. We do not have a set number of conversion vehicles that we put in the calendar. Last year we had 3 conversion vehicles and we would be willing to do the same every year if we had great submissions. I love your enthusiasm and I will definitely listen to any suggestions. However, I think the best thing to do is to get more conversion vehicles involved in our current calendar and when the submission times come up, let them know that the opportunity is available.

The way I had meant that is that if the right people are willing, I would be more than happy to help you or whoever out to lighten the load a bit. By the way, I don't know who makes these types of decisions, but is there anyway that I might be able to get involved with the current calendar project? I am not looking for anything other than to helpout, and take part in something I think is cool. Anyway, I love the calendar the way it is now, and will still be getting my hands on one as long as they are still available. Everyone that is involved is doing an outstanding job IMO You are correct when you say highly professional, keep up the good work!

I will do what I can to inform people about the submission times and see what happens, and thanks for taking the time to read this. LOL!

I understand what you are saying and we could use some help in the advertising department. However, unless you are a skilled photographer willing to travel, our accountant, a graphic designer or prepared to become the shipping and receiving department then we really wouldn't have anything for you to do. Most of the work is in finding the vehicles and models, organizing the pictures, taking the pictures, and then layout and design. Once the calendars are finished, the rest of the work is in advertising, labeling, and shipping.
