Default Another search problem

I went to do a search on appearance and detailing for exhaust tips and it doesn't do the search at all - even for 1 week. I tried to do a search for tea heads in internal engine section and got nothing as well. What gives??

I am experiencing the same thing. I think they are working on it, but not sure. For some people the feature works and others it doesn't. Its funny how it does that.

My trouble with search is that I get so many matches. The old search was nice because you could pick exactly what you were looking for...now I get just about every post come up with a match.

My searches are coming up as nothing. I searched for the word cam in the internal engine section and got nothing. I searched for several other things that were in posts I had just read, but still got "no matches" ???

I'd have to check again, ie. do some more test searches, but right now search is not working right. Our consultant modified the search feature and it's not right yet.

I'll run some more tests and email the consultant and Tony and see where we will go.

What you have here folks is plain old BS, straight and simple! The ole "see where we'll go from here", is a worn out cliche'. The new software is bungled up, they are trying to save bandwidth, with band aid remedies. They didn't do alot of research before they sprung for new software. The search don't work, and probably ain't gonna' work any time soon. They don't respond to complaints, cause frankly they coud care less in the end. This kind of has some similarities to another site called LS1.com
They've had a ton of complaints on this and other subjects alone, and they haven't been fixed and probably aren't gonna' be, nor have they even given a decent response, if any, about honest intentions, on a course of action.

The search feature is the achilles heel of all sites like ours.

Right now the feature is disabled/ not set up properly, and we do want it back.

Our highest priority was site speed.

Right now for me our site is on the high end of fast no matter what connection we are on.

I will email Tony and the consultant right after I post this to see about putting it back on... But it might be back in degrees, once it starts to make the site run like a V6 Mustang we have to decide what we will do.

Thanks for your comments.

That's really strange because the search seems to be working OK for me. It still isn't 100% but, returns quite a few matches whenever I search something.

PS - I've been running searches continuously for the past 3 days with some special software and the sight doesn't seem any slower.

Hahahahahaha....Just kidding.

The site slows down when there are a thousand searches being conducted at the same time.

I sent the email out.
