I don't speak dialup, so I dunno -- maybe it's a waiting thing since the ads are dynamically created/displayed? I can ask.

it seems to speed up a lot (even on high-speed connections) once you've seen all the ads at least once. I can click back w/o any delay whatsoever now.

I use Firefox 2.0.0.11 on Ubuntu Linux 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon)

It's all about what brings the money in. The new company probably could give two ***** about how the site looks. As long as the paper is flowing and there are a lot of active users, it doesn't matter to them. That's todays market.

I also noticed the name of the site changed. It says for me http://wiki.ls1tech.com etc..... When did that happen and is that just me?

It messes up back and forward because it essentially is refreshing the page every time it updates the ad (so if you're reading, it's updating in the background and screwing up your ability to press back).

Is there any way to just make the google ads not refresh you all the time and screw up the back and forward buttons? It's a gigantic pain in the *** to go back from a thread to a forum now...and then you get frustrated and hit back a bunch, and it finally goes...one page too far, and by the time you realize that, it's refreshed the ad and forward has gone away...I really don't mind the ad being there, I just wish it didn't screw up navigation of the site so much.

Well, I was wondering why adMuncher was blocking all the LS1Tech Sponsors (since I've had LS1Tech listed as a no filter site from day 1). Now that I know why, looks like I'm not gonna bother changing it. The alphabetic sponsor list still works, so I can still get to the sites that are important.
