I agree, and is why I ask, aside from detracting from the overall appearance of the site and making some annoying sounds while each page loads...

I'm not a big fan of it either. I was wondering why it loaded different. It asked me if I wanted to remember my password again which I thought was odd. I think that might have been something I did.

I'm wondering if this is due to the change in ownership that happened last year...

I'm not a fan of those Google ads either, but the reality is that they can potentially generate over $100,000/year in advertising revenue on a site this active.

When we found out that stagging figure, we really couldn't argue over cosmetics. Since we no longer own the site, it wasn't our decision if they stay or go.

The normal sponsor buttons will actually be easier to navigate now, since they do not go way past the bottom of the page, and each of them still randomly shows up with each mouse click. We found that only first few actually caught anyone's attention anyways, since that column was so long.

Kinda figured it was profit-driven...can't argue with those numbers either. I definitely liked it better the old way...I'll see if I can get used to it.

You will have to get used to it, since they probably won't ever be removed. Hell, had we known they could generate six figures of revenue when we still ran the site, they probably would have been put up sooner
