They continue to do annoying crap like this and I bet there won't be alot of active users.

no banners and no sponsors; just a google ad about 3 posts down on the right with huge empty white space up top and to the right.

Looks like ***. Seriously.

Get AdBlock plus for Firefox (its a plugin) you can right click any add on a site and perma-block it. But I am not to happy with the change either. Especially the double click url that one of the users posted in first page, that **** is spyware.

If I was one of the sponsors who have supported this site since its inception, I'd be reconsidering how I was spending my advertising budget. Now, these sponsors are being relegated to the corner. Moves like this that change the perception of a website in the eyes of its users/members can have serious ramifications.

doubleclick isn't spyware. A few of our ads are referral type ads and use doubleclick to track the impressions and click-throughs.

Well, sitting here on my roomies Mac of all things, I can go back and forth, no problem, using Firefox.

I will say it sucks for the sponsors....I've clicked on sites I may never have visited otherwise, simply from catching a glance at something on the right that caught my eye.

The blanked out side looks weak....Theres gotta be plenty more room for the sponsors over there, no?
Continue the list under the google ads?

I can foresee a lot of sponsers not sticking around after they get random ad time. This is what happens when non car people buy a site that is for car people. They don't have a clue what car guys or the vendors of car parts want or expect. Just my very humble opinion. Before I get flamed for being new after two trips to Iraq I couldn't remember my old screen name. I've been here for quite a while.

Well sorry. You just lost a member. I can't stand this bullshit!!

The sites usability went to crap, the appearance went to crap, the two mods that have seen my posts ignored and closed my thread. WTF?!

I see the sites membership dropping like a ton of bricks once the sponsors bail

Yep, I see sponsors dropping like flys when only 12 out of.. what... 78 the last time I counted, only show up. If I paid 200 or so a month to have my banner here and advertise, Id be pissed. I knew this would happen from the day it went big business. Its typical big business, its all about the dollar.
