Google Ads?
I'm pleased to see the sponsor links back and it appears that Google (aka corporate America) may be gone. This is a website of enthusiasts and the hard working sponsors that have been instrumental in the Gen III/IV arena. Tampering with the basic formula of the website is disastrous as I'm sure the new owners are now aware!

So..curious...since the sponsors links are back, and appear to not have the doubleclick stuff on them, and the google ads seem to be gone... What was the point of having all of that google/doubleclick stuff anyways? Surely someone knew that those ads were going to cause problems?
I deleted your thread because it was pretty immature and unnecessary. If you have problems with that, feel free to PM me. One thread will do just fine.

Guys, Doubleclick was merely a way of managing ads. It gave IB a better interface to manage ads across all of their sites, and it also provides tracking/hits/clicks info to the advertisers. None of this was available with the old format you see to the right. It had nothing to do with increased income, it was merely a management tool. The back end was very good, but the front end for the viewers simply sucked. They also were limited to only having 12 buttons posted with that software, due to the software itself. This is somewhat of a horrid excuse, but it is what it is.
As we found out today, there are some inherent performance and functionality issues that come along with doubleclick. I'm guessing it was a learning experience? Hopefully that software can be revised to work better in this sort of atmosphere. The tracking and clicks count would be very useful for vendors.
Things will get sorted out, be patient.
