That doesn't make much sense when the sponsors already bring in over 4x that (doing the simple math of sponsorship monthly cost times number of sponsors times 12). If the Google ads replace the sponsors (I can't imagine most of them being too pleased with this arrangement) the site's revenue will go down, not up.

 

If non sponsors can advertise aka google ads. I don't see why sponsors have to pay. The thing is SendYouRingtones.com/Turb o isn't going to have a member on here advertising for them, but it still is eye catching.

 

I AGREE if this continues what exactly are we paying for , do we have top billing? not from what I have seen so far?

not to mention its just f*cking each sponsor on here. Not the simple fact that it is random now, but the fact that everyone is blocking the google adds. That means sponsors are paying for there names to be viewed, and everyone is blocking the adds, which means the sponsors names dont get seen period. This was a retarded idea. LS1tech is going to loose ALOT of sponsors over this as soon as they realize what is happening, i almost gaurentee it.

 

The thing that bothers me most about this is the fact that we don't really have anyone to talk to. Nineball or PSJ can't really do anything at this point. I'm sure they could direct attention towards this thread, but like it was mentioned above they're probably laughing rolling around in their google ad money.

 

Never know what the future holds? I just hope internet brands sees the logic in how bad this is, If the sponsors slowly go away and in time they will as profits decrease, Then what will be left , Where will the experts be we all have come to count on even me, I learn something here every day. Most time from a sponsor in one of the various threads.

 

I hate those ******* things with a passion. That's why I stopped visiting thirdgen.org. Especially with the way my computer is set up it would never scroll beyond that point unless I used spmething other than the wheel.

You nailed it. I didn't block the sponsors ads before because they were cool looking, non-intrusive, and convenient in case I wanted to browse one of their sites, but I hate these google/flash ads and will block them. Which means I now see no sponsor links either.

 

I think we should all put something in our sigs to reflect our fealings towards google ads. Maybe we could number them? That way if someone does notice theirs 3k people with anti google ad comments in their sig they might take notice.
