Default 1998 Formula hardtop A4 - Bright Purple Metallic

May 2009 pics... it needs to be washed, so excuse the dirt..

Interior

Engine bay

Loss of garage space is forcing me to part with my 1998 Firebird Formula... This car has been garaged as long as I've owned it, has been very well cared for, and is extremely clean inside and out. It's never been driven in winter conditions, rarely driven in rain since 2003. It was originally sold in the Fort Worth, Texas area and was shipped to Seattle from Benbrook, TX when I bought it.

It's an A4 hardtop, grey cloth interior, non-TCS car. One of 26 Formulas built in this color. It has about 87,000 miles on it.

This car is in EXCELLENT condition. It is not perfect... but it's probably closer to "perfect" condition than you're going to find in the vast majority of 11 year old F-Bodies. It was completely repainted in 2004, and the body shop did a very good job.. it's very difficult to tell where the old paint starts and the new paint begins. The finish has been very well maintained, and is very free of scratches and blemishes. It would not be difficult to use this car as a "show" car.

It runs great... no issues with burning oil or anything. Still runs 12.6-12.7 on the strip, and could probably be made faster with a tune.

I will include a a copy of HP Tuners VCM Suite Professional along with the car. I will also include a set of OEM 98-00 WS6 wheels if you desire them.

I've invested over $25K in this car including the paint job... I've tried hard to use the best parts I could afford... so my loss is your gain.

$9,500 or best offer

I am also willing to put the stock 16" wheels back on the car and drop the price.

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY.

NO TRADES.

BUYER RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING.

Modifications

Engine / Computer:
HP Tuners VCM Suite Professional programming software, SLP cooling fan switch, Taylor spark plug wires.

Induction / Exhaust:
Suncoast Creations "Raptor" Hood, carbon-fiber intake lid/chrome "screaming chicken" overlay, SLP smooth intake bellow, EGR/AIR delete, ceramic coated Kooks 1-3/4" stainless steel long tube headers and catted y-pipe, polished GMMG chambered exhaust.

Suspension / Brakes:
LG Motorsports street adjustable panhard bar, LG Motorsports street non-adjustable LCAs, QA1 HAL adjustable shocks, Eibach Pro lowering springs, BMR LCA relocation brackets, Spohn driveshaft safety loop, Powerslot brake rotors, Hawk brake pads.

Wheels & Tires:
17x9.5" American Racing Torq Thrust II with Spiral Grey metallic painted centers, 275/40-17 Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 tires (front), 275/40-17 Mickey Thompson ET Street radials (rear)

Drivetrain:
Yank SS3200 torque converter, B&M Supercooler transmission cooler, GM 3.42 gears, Eaton posi differential, TA Performance differential cover & stud kit, Timken bearings, welded axle tubes, ARP wheel studs.

Appearance:
Deleted "Formula" emblems and body side molding, custom center caps, wire delete mod, 20% window tint.

Current flaws
- Missing center interior vent
- 2 or 3 rock chips.
- Gear display on center console rattles

Lots of pictures (most with WS6 wheels, instead of the current)

By the way, for potential buyers...

I've already sold one car on this site, and here's the feedback from that sale.

I have been on this board since day one back in late 99 or 2000. Since then i have seen alot of people that owned more than one vehicle. Your trio was one of the most unique. I loved the WS6 and now its sad to see the Formula go. Good luck

Yeah, I've already lost my garage space, and the Formula is being stored at a friend's house for the time being. Can't really afford to keep it in a storage space. I haven't driven it much in the last year, either... so it makes more sense to let it go for now and start thinking about a 2010+ Camaro for the future.

Now that the weather is getting nice, it's time to bump it and try again.

Hell, throw it on a car carrier... only takes a few days to get it from one state to another.

Like I said, doesn't take much to throw it on a truck.
