Well they said they'd be able to push to the right a few K's over KBB trade due to the motor and the documented history (I'm 99% sure this thing is headed to auction and all the hand documented history and receipt are going to get trashed). We'll see if they honor their offer when I head back there tomorrow morning.

I used to own a little car lot and went to the auction 3-4 times a week. They will get KILLED if they take it to the auction! There is to much unknown about the car with a motor swap. Most dealers are cool with appearance mod's and light stuff like exhaust and intake but crazy mod's rarely even bring the normal price unless it is by a big name magazine tuner or owned by Shaq or something. Good luck! Hopefully there not absorbing the money on your car into the new one your buying but I know you've had quite a few cars over the last couple years and are aware of there games they play.

purchase sequence
1) price of new car negotiated to bottom line (My neighbor wants to buy my old car and he already gave me a deposit).
2) real price of trade in. (now that I know the price of my new car, how much would you give me for my old car?)
3) financing (if being financed).
I've never purchased a car from a dealer, there are so many stories where the dealers try to mix it all together and just come up with a monthly price. A guy I used to work with was buying a new Pontiac (a long time ago) and they had a $500 rebate going on, so the dealer wrote it all up and wanted them to sign quick. They sat down and went through all the paperwork, the dealer added the $500 rebate to the total all right, but not as a reduction in price, but as a $500 uplift in price.
