This car started life as a Flordia patrol car, then it was a race car till it blew up and was sold to me as a roller.
When I got the car it had clear head light kit some beutifully welded roll cage and sub frame connectors and the battery located in the trunk.
I got the car and smoothed and painted engine bay then installed a ls1 and six speed out of a 50k mile 2004 GTO. I'm really glad I spent the extra on the low mile motor as it runs like new, smooth and powerful. Transmission is also like new. Everything is done right! Car also has Gm performance short throw shifter, rebuilt rear end with 3.73 gears, aluminum drive shaft, Kooks headers, 3 inch x pipe, flowmaster tips, AJE subframe, coil overs, c&c plates and wide band 02 ect I also removed door bars to make it more of a street car (still have them).
I planned on adding head and cam after install but found the stock engine over powers this car by a good bit. It is really a challenge to keep the throttle open for any lenth of time in any gear. I recomend this car only to a skilled driver with experiance with high power cars. This thing is a hand full!!
I was going to keep this car so I added new speakers, cd player, gas tank, carpet ect. planned on daily driveing it so I reinstalled heater box with new core, wipers ect. Right now it is at a great pivet point it could continue as a driver or with a few changes make a great drag car, drifter or road racer. Right now I think of it as a corvette that looks like a mustang.

turned out great, its a hard combination to beat, gas mileage, hp, comfort, & reliability. to be honest i wouldnt part with your car for less than $10k. super clean, and its a lot more work than ppl think

It is a cool combination. Too bad ford can't make a drive train this simple and powerful and chevy can't put it in anything light, cheap and easy to work on lol. Thanks for all the comments guys.
