Default 2001 Black camaro slp SS convertible

Year: 2001
Make: Chevrolet
Model: Camaro
Price: $15500
Mileage: 47100
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): IL
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

Up for sale is my 2001 Camaro SLP SS convertible. The car is black, has black leather, with black convertible top.

Paint (9-10) Only a couple small scratches. Throughout the car

Interior (9-10) No rips, dash is perfect, no discolorations, seats move forward and back/adjusted with ease, Drivers side seat belt guide on the side broke so I took it off.

Top (10-10) No rips, no tears, goes up and down perfectly
Engine, trunk, carpet, floor mats are near perfect

Car has 47,100 miles. Car has been garaged kept and has never been outside at night. Never driven in the snow. Seen rain only once.

Slp options include:

Chrome 10-spoke SS wheels( chrome is in excellent shape still)

CME, Center mounted exhaust

SS grille.

I also have the SS floor mats and portfolio to go with the car

Car has an ls6 block. Block only from the factory. Fairly rare I believe you had a 1 in 8 chance of accidentally getting this block in 01

It is 1 of 112 in black/auto without slp breakdowns

With the breakdowns I wouldn't be surprised if the car was 1 of maybe 20 or possibly less

I have the option sheet from slp original prices from slp. It is a copy along with a copied birth certificate
Only mod is GMMG catback system mounted into the original CME. The GMMG has prob 6k miles on it. It is still in excellent shape. Car sounds very deep and mellow, N not to loud either. Tips are near chrome finish. I polished them cause the factory alum didn't quite cut it for me. I bought the car 5 years ago from a 70 year old couple. All scheduled maintenance performed throughout the cars history.
Reason for selling is just looking for something else

I'm asking 16,500 and I am pretty firm on that. As I don't see me finding another one of these cars optioned like this in the future and would kick myself after selling for less.

The antenna is not in the picture but I do have it. Tips in the pic are before they were polished also.

Love the car! It's exactly what I want and it looks like it is in great shape. Nothing nicer IMO than a triple black SS Vert. I am drooling all over my monitor as I type!

Only one problem. I have to sell my car. I have been trying to do so for the past few months but the car market is so bad it just wont sell. I wont give it away and thats what you have to do to sell. If you were open to trades I would offer up my car plus $ in a hearbeat for your bad *** vert!

Honestly the car is great, the market sucks. You will probably need to sit on it for 6-8 months before you can sell it. Seems like used cars over that 7/8k mark are just hard to sell period.

The market does suck now you are very true. It just depends on whats for sale.

I sold my 95 Firehawk Hardtop, 6-speed with 28k miles for $14k in 5 days. Granted its older with less miles, but slp cars still hit hard prices, especially fully loaded cars. You never give away a car that's near impossible to find and everyone knows that.

The camaro was $36,000 coming off the show room floor

I am willing to negotiate on my price. As for your trade man I really appreciate it but like I said Ive already found something I'm looking at buying. If things change let me know. Thanks

Thats my exact problem. Not giving my car away means I might have to keep it . I'm OK with that but I just dont have time to use it any more so I have been looking for a street car. I agree SLP cars still can get a good price but the buyer field is much smaller than it used to be.

Your SS is what I want but I am no different that everyone else. I don't have $16k in play money either.

Good luck with selling it, you have a sweet car I wish I could put in my garage. If for some reason I just happen to sell mine I will be in touch. (not likely but always possible)
