2004 GTO 416ci MP122 blower, daily driver, 556rwhp in Wallkill, NY
Year: 2004
Make: Pontiac
Model: GTO
Price: $13500
Mileage: 71500
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): NY
Color: Silver
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine
Silver Pontiac GTO with red leather interior. 71k miles. Supercharged 416ci stroker all forged with Magnacharger MP122. There's a lot more power on the table with this car, currently detuned for the street since I drive this car to work everyday and still have 556 rear wheel HP.
I have the dyno sheets. I have it tuned to use the normally locked factory lean cruise mode so it gets around 23-24mpg on the hwy.
The good:
600HP, daily driverable, will run like crazy at the track, completely tame on the street.
Forged, stroked originally a 6.2L aluminum block to 416ci, shortblock built by New Era Performance.
Magnacharger MP122 blower; speed inc blower cam, stock 317 LQ9 heads; 60Lbs injectors, 91mm throttle body; stainless works longtube headers, Corsa Sport exhaust.
I currently have the stock rims on the car but also have a set of TSW Thruxton rims, 18x8 front and 18x9.5 rear, will need new rear tires.
I also have a set of Weld wheels with MT ET/streets for the track and bias skinnys for front
NoS dry kit installed but is not currently tuned to use it.
Have a bigger crank pulley, not installed, to spin the blower faster to make more power if you want to install it and also have a magnafuel pump booster you'll need to support the extra boost.
I have HP tuners for the car to tune it and tweak it as needed.
I have an oil catch can also that I never installed, right now it just uses a breather.
Center top gauge pod with oil pressure and boost gauges
Car runs great!
Current NYS inspection, passes every time.
The bad:
It's a daily driver that I also have the two car seats in the back for the kids so it's got its share of wear and tear, but in good condition.
It has a small dent on the top of pass side front fender - the kids dropped a 2x4 on it in the garage (no I didn't kill them for it!)
The bottom of the front bumper cover is torn off, I hit a raccoon one night (yes I did kill it!). It doesn't look bad at all so I just never replaced it.
I needed an alignment and took too long so the front tires are worn uneven and need to be replaced.
I hit a tire wall and pushed in the pass side door, it was replaced a few years ago.
It runs really rich when it first starts up for about 20 seconds. I never got around to tuning it out with HP Tuners.
I have an innovate LC-1 wideband installed, not working right now, maybe just needs to be calibrated.
Rebuilt tranny last month makes a little noise in first gear, not enough for me to pull it back out though.
With better heads, and the crank pulley installed and tune it for the spray it can make some big power.
I'm pretty motivated to sell it pretty quick and buy something else to haul the kids.
Here's the engine right before I put it in:
