LS Engine?: Car has LS engine
2001 Camaro SS - NBM - 82,000 mi.
The car drives great, runs great, and turns great. Vibration under braking, probably needs front rotors turned or replaced and pads. The car had 54k on it when I got it, and has been my DD off and on for the last year or so. It was not driven in the snow, and only got caught in the rain a couple of times.
It is a 1LE car with the signed booklet by SLP. The package consisted of Koni double adjustable shocks, thicker hollow sway bars, and stiffer springs. It also has a SLP installed Dual/Dual cat-back. It's a hard top car. The interior is in great condition, it's ebony leather. The only bad spot inside is the driver side bolstering, which just shows some wear. It's not torn or ripped, just worn. 12 disk CD changer works great, original Monsoon amp and head-unit. The front speakers are kinda fuzzy, I believe they were replaced with JBL's. They have a transferable lifetime warranty but I haven't had them replaced. Came with all SS mats and plaque and all that fun stuff, too.
The car was tuned by Justin @ www.OklahomaTuner.com out of Broken Arrow, OK.
The only mods the car has are a SLP lid, MGW shifter, and a BitViper shorty antenna. Otherwise it's bone stock.
The good is obvious. It's a clean, essentially stock, not beat-to-hell SS that would be a great starting point for anyone. I could never justify modding it, it just ran perfect for what I wanted.
I'll list the bad, and I'll be brutally honest:
- There's a 1" scuff under the passenger side front cover, you can see the yellow plastic stuff behind the paint in the last picture under the fog light. It happened pulling onto the street from a steep driveway.
- Under the passenger door on the rocker panel there is a 4" or so dent. You can't really see it unless you're on the ground.
- The car was lifted wrong by the dealership before I got it and has the fender line in front of the door sticking out about an 1/8" like some other F-Bodies.
- There is a very small ding in the gas door.
- One of the wheels has a 1/2" "dent" on the very outermost part of the rim. It could be fixed very easily.
- Driver side turn signal is cracked. No idea when, but I was going to put clear corners on it anyway.
- Driver's side window motor may need replaced. Will go up and stop, has to sit for a second, then will go up the rest of the way.
- The car needs a clutch. It still has the stock clutch in it with 80k on it. It's drivable, but it will be gone within the next 1,500 miles or so probably. Pedal will stick if held in, have to pump it when you get in it, etc. I am still driving it daily and it's doing fine. I'll put a LS6 clutch kit in it, but the price goes to $11,500.
The cosmetic problems are very minor. When the car is sitting at Sonic on cruise nights no one ever notices any of the issues until I point them out. I'm just **** that way I guess and I want to be completely honest.
The 10-bolt hasn't been abused; the car has made 7 passes in it's entire life. 13.40's leaving off-idle. It's a solid car, I just want a Vette.
Note: The car had big and littles on it just for the pictures. It was NEVER launched on those tires.
Price:
$10,500 as is
$11,500 with new clutch kit
If I remember anything else I'll update the thread accordingly.

Good luck man. That's a really nice car.
BTW, the fender gap is really simple to fix.
Just put a 2x4 up against the bent tab & hammer
it back until the fender lines up straight.
(I had to do this to my car)

I'm thinking the car may just need a master cylinder, not a clutch. I'll be putting a master in it tomorrow. Compressor went out today though, putting a new compressor in it soon. $10,000 as it sits. Goes back up when the AC is working again.

Replaced the master cylinder today and did the drill mod while I was there. Clutch is working fine now. It never slipped, just had no pedal pressure. Price is still $10,000, when my compressor gets here and I get the AC working again it'll go back to $10.5

That may have been true when the 1LE package was a little more hardcore, but it does have the SLP modification sticker with VIN on the door that lists the 1LE suspension package.
