took it to driveline shop because i felt vibration above 80mph and gets worse at higher speeds. thought it was the steel driveshaft i had made but they said they think its the tranny, and it might need a bearing but they were not sure.
One shop quoted me $1000 to do it, drop the tranny, install bearings, reinstall tranny. either $9500 an ill get it done or $8500 as is.
The car has had this vibration since i put the steel DS on. and that was almost 8k miles ago and its still been fine. I honestly do not think it is the tranny and im having another shop look at it on wednesday. I ll keep updates

not the tranny. I had central valley speed and perfomance check it out. it is the rear end. stock 10 bolt with 4.10's. they whine and he said that is what is causing vibration.
for sale $8,500 how it is now. which isnt that bad, i still drive it everyday and it drives just fine, just vibrates above 80mph and pretty bad above 100mph but 65mph on the freeway is not that bad.
I might be putting a Moser 9 inch with 4.11's but thats $3,200 installed and im not sure if ill see that back.
$9,500 with fixed 10 bolt and 4.10's or $8,500 as it is right now. It could be a simple fix or up to $1400 with new gears, pinion, carrier, ect
