I do not know the inner workings of the insurance agency, so I do not know why they are giving me a CoD. I specifically requested a re-buildable salvage title and they refused.
I arranged to have the car returned to my place, and requested the CoD this morning. I do not know when the CoD will come in, but after then, the car will be available for sale.
EDIT: The car was returned, and is in WAY better shape than I would have ever expected. Seems like the salvage yard was preparing to sell it off. They got all the water out, cleaned it out, and gave it a once-over. I am impressed. I will post pictures tomorrow. I will also post a vid of it starting and idling when I get a chance.
Since I have recieved an overwhelming responce to this thread, and noting the condition of the car, I have changed the price to OBO. I am not sure what it's actual worth is, so please make an offer.

That seems so stupid to me. I dont understand why it would get a COD when other cars with pretty major frame damage get a salvage or rebuildable. I hope some one picks the whole thing up and you dont have to part out.

FL is very strict on flood vehicles. Very few if any at all are allowed to be rebuilt. If I'm still first in line I plan to buy the whole car. The drivetrain will likely go in a 69 camaro along with other various parts. The roller could be used for drag or track car but it will be tough to get it put back on the streets in the states.

Hey everyone:
I took a good inspection of the car today, and its in better shape than I imagined. It was raining today when I took the pictures.
The front emblem has fallen off:
The interior is dry, but underneath the carpet there is still moisture. Also, the seats still have some moisture in them as well, but nothing is molding. Looks like the salvage yard vaccumed and shampoo'd it out pretty well.
I've got some moisture absorbers inside.
Vid of it starting and running.
(the squeak is my foot pushing in the clutch to start it)
Note: The right blinker bulb burned out and therefore is not working. Also, the clip holding the door lock/window control popped off while I was removing the stereo before it was hauled off to the salvage yard. I havent been able to find it. Thats all I could find wrong with her. I drove her up to get gas today, and she drove fine. It really made me miss her.
I am waiting on the CoD still. I will post again when I receive it. At that time, the best offer takes her.

It wasn't raining today so I got some pics:
One other funny note: Sometimes when I turn the key, the headlights will come on, despite the switch being off. I am assuming it is the e-brake switch since thats the only part of the system that got wet!

Checked with the insurance folks today, they let me know it may be another week or two before I get the CoD title.
I replaced the turn signal bulb today so that the right turn signal now works. I used the hand held to check the OBDII codes, they were 0410 and 1415, both secondary air injection, so completely unrelated to the flood. She is drying out still, and there are only a few areas that are still wet.
Once I get the CoD in a few weeks, the best offer takes it.

Wow, the florida dmv is obviously clueless, that car is not destroyed at all.
If it were my car i wouldn't let them screw me out of it, i'd just go to a yard, find a good titled shell for cheap and vin swap it.

Good Morning LS1 Tech!
I was out of town for a few weeks, and got back yesterday. The title came in while I was gone.
I also took the car out of the garage and took a look at it:
1. She started right up, ran well.
2. The E-brake sensor is not working
3. Some of the interior plastic parts are starting to grow fuzzy things. I wiped them down with a bleach solution and they look normal.
4. Still has a musty smell to it, but its not bad.
So, I have the title in hand. Please send me (PM, or call) your highest and best offer. Best offer takes her home.

So it is a C.O.D. title then?
