The car was in pretty good condition.

Here's the bad:
It was soaked in a flood in TS Debby a few days ago. The water got up to around the trim molding on the outside of the car, about halfway up the door. The water was up for about two hours. The interior was soaked, but has dried out. There is no horrendous molding smell. The water was cleaned out as best as possible. Pics below show it in the flood. I posted some pictures of it after the fact, with the interior dried out, below.

Fortunately, the water didnt damage anything important, from what I could see. The car ran and drove fine after the flood, the A/C worked, the lights worked, the wipers worked, it was idling the same as ever. The pulleys were pretty squeaky though, and might need replacement.

Insurance is selling the car back to me with a Certificate of Destruction title. The problem is that with a Certificate of Destruction, the car's VIN can never be put back on the road. You would have to turn this into an off-road vehicle, drag car or a autocross car. (however, I hear that you can register them in Kentucky...)

Entire car for $3800 OBO.

$3800 is the current highest offer. When I get the title (in a week or so, or so I am told) I will sell it to the highest offerer.

There would be more than that in parts if we took it apart, but we are NOT parting her out. It is a running, driving, and stopping car, that cannot be titled or driven on the road. I would rather have someone repurpose the entire car versus parting her out.

Thanks for looking.

Pics after trying to get most of the water out of her:

On this one, you can see where the high water line was right up to the bottom of the dash, right at the cup holder:

She was throwing a code before the flood, I just never got around to it. I got it checked out with EFI Alchemy, he let me know it was the exhaust recirculation check valves. They are something like 15 bucks. The security light has been on for the last 70k miles or so, again, something I never bothered to check into as it didn't effect the condition of the car.

It pains me to see a car like that, that you have built up, just sitting in that water. Best of luck with whatever you buy next, glad you're safe.

All PMs replied. This week I will have the car returned to the house, and I will obtain the Certificate of Destruction.
