Here is the history...
I orignally built this car over a 3yr period. starting approx 2004... car was almost finished, had a couple of issues with blowing out valve cover gaskets due to the high CR and the transbrake not leaving right when I released the button...
Sold the car to member here sept 06. He put an intake and TB on the car ( i was borrowing chucks LS6 ), he never tracked the car, tried to tune it on the street but couldnt because of the open headers... and let the vehicle sit for years and I bought it back from him...
I changed the oil, the rad fluid, fixed a leak from the WP fitting, new battery, new fuel filters, fuel and car fired right up.
I replaced the dumb 5 gallon plastic fuel cell with a nasty perf, fuel cell, covered up the big hold in the truck deck lid ( was cut out to replace a stock fuel pump back in the day when it was street car ) with a piece we cut out from a junk yard, sheet metal screwed it down, and used silicon to seal it, then painted it.
Added a GZ Motorsports Vacumm pump, vac gauge, modifid the valve covers for the Vac Pump, ended up changing the transbrake button and tranny was about 1/2 qt low ... no issues with transbrake anymore
took it down to get it tuned... approx 600 rwhp
Car weight at that time was 3080
Ran the car at the track ran like 10.371 at 129.472 w/ 1.485 60ft
Hit the rev limiter and shifts so figured there was more in the car...
Took the car down to change the valve springs (because these ones had sat compressed for so long might have been getting valve float, decided to change, installed new PAC springs) put in a new O2 sensor, changed the fuel from Q16 to C12, added a toggle switch for a 2 step, also put in a Griffen Radiator... and hooked up a power wire to data log...
Took it to the track, car ran sloooowwww something like 12.3 ...
I went back and checked things that I had done trying to figured out what might have caused the poor performance... well elimated the valve springs being an issue, gas and O2... left the power wire for data logging... Turns out that sending 12v to that wire for data logging also controlled the stage 1 boost controller... which was programmed to reduced timing by 22deg... so I went from 30 to 8 degress of time.
Removed the wire, took the car back out to the track a week ago,
and only got 1 run in due to track issues at the Summit Series Drags...
10.33 @ 129 1.44 60ft
No rev limiter hit, but I short shifted 2 to 3rd ... shifted right at 6k when the light came on, needed to shift at 7k...
Now to reason Im selling...
I just don't have the time to run the car like I want to, I work test n tune days, ET drags are on days im ususally working, and I cant street race with no head lights lol. So the car is sitting under a cover.
I just bought a new C6 GrandSport and would like to do a few things to that, as well as buy a new rifle scope for my other hobby, ( can only borrow my buddies for so long )
Car runs great, no issues...
Also have a Feathelight 20ft aluminum trailer for the car if you need a trailer...
paid 11k for that with wench airdam etc etc....
So will get new pics up soon, looking for 15k for car only ( delivery available )
or car and trailer for 23k.
