2000 Trans Am Bk on Bk 6Spd
Year: 2000
Make: Pontiac
Model: Trans Am
Price: $6000
Mileage: 134000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): VA
Color: Black
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine
Mildly modded, SLP Loudmouth 2 exhaust, SLP airbox, LC1 with gauge in center vent, and timing tuner(used mainly as window switch).
Major improvement is the rear has been swapped for a Moser Ford 9 Inch Housing with a new in 2010 Currie Torsen LSD with 3.5 gear ratio. The housing and diff alone cost $2400. Also has BMR Torque arm and transmission relocation support bracket. If you don't know the value of the above modifications, than this car is likely not for you since she is not perfect cosmetically. If you are looking for a great daily driver that gets mid-low 20's MPG and is a solid basis for a great drag car then she is worth a look. Has been in one accident by previous owner, side skirts and drivers door were the only parts replaced.
For my asking price I will include the NX Shark Nozzle kit installed on the car. I never got to use it...it was installed the summer before I got married if that explains anything.
Cosmetically she is not perfect and that is reflected in the price. I say this not because she is ugly, but just so that you aren't expecting a show car. Willing to take detailed pics for interested buyers.

Haha, does baby answer that question? I know we all have an idea of what our cars are worth, but they are only worth what someone else will actually pay for them. Based on trolling Clist and the forums by the time people actually sell their cars this was the range I was seeing them sell in.
Plus, I am a pretty stingy buyer, I am always looking for a deal and pretty much offer bottom dollar and bargain the heck out of people. I wanted to price my car at a price point that even I would buy it at. It is my real bottom dollar, and a price that I think most would agree is more than fair for the car.
She also has the accident from the previous owner, in all the time I've had her and been under her I've never noticed any bent metal anywhere. I believe the only parts replaced were the drivers door and sideskirts.
Between the accident, cosmetic dents (cart and door rash), some interior blems. I brought the price down to a realistic but fair to both the buyer and myself level. I've got no need to sell, the wife is just getting tired of looking at 4 cars for two people.

Also has hidden hitch. Great for towing tire/motorcycle trailers.
Willing to consider trades on ~1k of the deal. Tools, boats/pwc, firearms, etc.
If you find an equivalent/similar vehicle I am willing to beat their price, but I am confident that for her miles and modifications she is one of the best deals on here.

I'm interested in this thing. So how much could I pick this up for without the nitrous?
I need a backup/daily driver, not a drag car per Se. How's the trans/clutch?
What rpm do you normally launch at with the new rear end?
Does the accident you covered actually show up on a report or did they handle it privately/out of pocket?
Oh also, did this originally have a nasty setup before and that's why it's got the moser out back and now it's back to "stock"?
Where in va are you? I have people in dumfries and stafford who can come take a look on my behalf if you can make yourself available.
Thanks
Chris
