yes, My wife is going to DMV on Friday to start the paper work, She said since its such a nice car, she will give me a little more time, Ha, what she is really thinking is if I wait and get the title I can get more . We know for a fact, looked up on the DMV website, back fee's are around $1000 for California lic. so we have to take that in to acct when registering.

I know in KS a quiet title action only takes 30 to 45 days and about 300 bucks and you get a new CLEAN title from the state! did it on a bike a couple months back in a situation very similar to this.

I'm going to give my local DMV a call tomorrow and see exactly what it would take to get the title here in TN. I also need to find the cheapest method of shipping I can.

This is not true, I just went through this crap the dad and son both purchased the vehicle and for the car to be carried over properly both needed to go to a bank and have it notarized.
It took me a lot of calling and emailing, and writing letters and they still never got back to me.
So fourtunately I have a residence in michigan and long story short it took 3 weeks for me to get a title sent to me, but the car is in my name!

I completely understand what this seller is going through.

Free bump for ya!!

Bump for Kevin,

He is for real and I would jump on this in a heart beat if I was you. $3500 is well worth anyones time. I wouldn't have thought twice about it. This is a steal. take a 1 way flight and drive it home!!!!!!
All you have to do is insure it in your name and at least get it home.

Hrmm I'll call the bank tomorrow and see what the deal would be about buying it with the lien title if you leave the black zr1s on it. My gal has some friends up in norcal that she wants to go see. So it might work out. I'll PM you my e-mail if you can send me some interior/engine pictures.
