thanks madmike... i actually may have an interested buyer... a guy who i was selling some old Monte SS parts too saw the car in my garage this weekend and was crazy about it.
i doubt he'll end up getting the $$$ together.
we'll see... it's the wrong season to sell for sure, but i will accept resonable offers. i'd like the storage space for something else.

maybe because they are trying to see how low he will go..honestly i may be in the market real soon for a car and i would be interested in this one but like most the other people in this thread im not gonna pay 10k for a 98 when i have found newer ones with similar mileage for cheaper. Sure this car is clean but i am gonna have to agree with most the other people that it is a lil high, but if the op came down some i may jump on it

to me.. condition is the most important thing when i buy a car. this car is being sold in show car condition.... it's not a daily driven worn out car. If you want to spend considerably less this is just not the car for you. If you have 10k and are willing to spend it i am sure that if you saw and drove my car you would pay the 10 in a heartbeat. If you don't have 10k or close to it then it would not matter if this is an 02 with 5 miles or a 93 with 500,000.
i am on here every day as well... there are really no other "as new" condition M6 T/As on here for under 10k. there are certainly some nice cars and some cheap cars but i have yet to find one that is both nicer and cheaper. if you had, you would have "jumped on it" right???
i am willing to come down "a little" but this is one of the cleanest cars on here and surely the cleanest for under 10k.

why would i trade my 98 t/a for a 6 banger 98?
oh well... i have been offered the following things in trade so far in the last 2 weeks:
a turbo 93 civic
a V6 02 mustang
a 98 V6 firebird
a 87 k3500 diesel
an 07 GSXR 1000
though some of that stuff is nice.. none of it is actually worth 10k or even close....and besides.. i really would just rather sell the car than trade for a car someone else cannot sell.

kbb says your car is worth 6,700. sorry to break it to you, but you never get the value of the parts you installed in the sale price.
and when I asked if you wanted to trade I didn't mean a straight up trade. I was also willing to throw down some cash to equal the value of the sale

if KBB says my car is worth 6700, then go buy one for 6700.
but first, post it up on here.
regardless of what KBB says these cars sell above book value, and well above book value when they are in excellent condition.
again.. show me the $6700 t/a and show me the guy who trades it for your V6.

to all the KBBers... please consult the NADA collector car pricing guide:
http://www.nadaguides.com/default.as...&z=87116&da=-1
as you will see, the pricing ranges from $7500-$11700 and varies by condition.
The $7500 condition is described as: This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning. The exterior paint, trim, and interior would show normal wear, needing only minor reconditioning. May also be a deteriorated restoration or a very poor amateur restoration. Most usable "as-is".
Some of the vehicles in this publication could be considered "Daily Drivers" and are not valued as a classic vehicle. When determining a value for a daily driver, it is recommended that the subscriber use the low retail value.
The $11700 car is in this condition: This vehicle would be in excellent condition overall. It could be a completely restored or an extremely well maintained original vehicle showing very minimal wear. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are not in need of reconditioning. The interior would be in excellent condition. Note: This value does not represent a "100 Point" or "# 1" vehicle *.
my car is certainly in the above condition and i will take thousands less.
i hope this puts the question of "book value" to rest.
