Wrecked 2000 Z28 FOR SALE - CLEAN TITLE -
I've come to the realization that I just don't have the time to fix up my wrecked 2000 Z28, so I would rather sell it than let it sit.
Little bit of history of the car:
I bought my car out in Maryland from a guy that used it as a family car as long as he could. It was 100% stock when I bought it two years ago with 118k on it. Like everyone else, I had visions of heads/cam/headers/gear/etc, etc, but an engineering coarse load kept that from happening. I did manage to make the following mods (mainly because they were almost free):
- Berger rear pannel
- Hooker Aerochamber Muffler with single exit out the left
- Smooth lid (don't know manufacturer)
- K&N filter
- Alpine CD player to replace the stock that wouldn't play CD's
- Semi-whissler mod on headlights
- Removed the front grill and put aluminum mesh in the holes
My car is a '00 Z28, automatic, with light gray cloth interior, power seat/mirrors/windows/locks, keyless entry, T-tops, and ice cold AC. It has just under 128k miles and was in good shape up until the accident.
The Wreck:
First of all, my car has a CLEAN TITLE IN HAND.
This car was my daily driver up until last March when I turned left at a green light and the oncoming Civic went straight through the intersection and into the right rear of my Camaro, even though he was in a right turn only lane. Any ways, they still called it my fault (no tickets issued) and I only had liability, so I got no compensation for my car.
The Civic did not hit me at a 90 degree T-bone and it was not a hard hit at all... it actually felt like I was in a bumper car. The majority of the impact was taken by the tire, 1/4 pannel, and the LCA.
Current Condition:
I finally managed to work on it a few weeks ago to get it back into driving condition. I replaced both LCA's, the panhard bar and brace, and torque arm with perfect stock take-offs from a '99 that replaced everything with aftermarket. Surprisingly, the right LCA was really the only piece that needed to be replaced when comparing all the suspension components. I also installed new rear shocks and sway bar end links. The panhard bar mount was the only structural piece that was damaged, and it was straightened and reinforced to stonger than oem.
Right now I have salad shooters on the rear, but it will come with all 4 chrome 5-star wheels after I replace the right rear tire that went flat from the wreck (the rim wasn't even damaged). The car runs and drives out great, goes straight down the road, and has plenty of power. I got over 27 mpg in the mountains with the AC on and cruise set at 75 mph.
What It Needs
To be put back to pre-wrecked condition the right door and 1/4 pannel need to be replaced. I already bought a 1/4 off another car that includes the door jam and rocker pannel... it will need about 1.5 hrs of work once installed to straighten up a few dings. All though it won't be perfect, I was going to reuse the rear bumper cover. The wheel was shoved back into the bumper cover and it does have a few spots where it cracked, but some heat and patience should be able to make it presentable without paint work.
This is a good opportunity for someone looking for a cheap LS1 car with a few body work skills and the time to put into it. All the buyer needs to purchase is a savlaged door ($100) and paint supplies ($300) to get this car back to a $6,000 car.
I'm asking EDIT: $3,500 CASH for the car. Again, it has a CLEAN TITLE that is in my possession, and I am not pressed to sell. I am located near Peoria, IL and would be more than willing to drive an hour or two to meet the buyer. Please shoot me a PM or call my cell (309)370-3209 with any questions.

damn that's gonna be sick! the look that car had was badass. will be sick with an LS1.
i keep saying i'll have another one, i even have a piece of the door to get the color matched.haha.
if you have this wrecked Z in a few months still i may come pick it up for a drag/street car build. don't have all the cash right now though

My car is 100% driveable, has no subframe damage, only needs $200-$400 more in parts/material, and has a clean and clear IL title in my hand. The car is worth $5,500-$6,000 once its repaired, so as long as the buyer has the body work skills, the price is not too far off. PM me if you have an offer... I would almost bet I've already gotten lower.

Local buyer backed out. I'll sell the car for $3,500 cash with the stock exhaust, air lid, and without the strut tower brace, LS6 cam, and 4.10 gears... but all of which will be available at extra cost for the buyer.
