Default 2002 Camaro SS - M6, pewter, 70K miles

I ordered this car in 2001 and received it in late 2001. It is in excellent shape. If you don't want T-tops like me because of the leaks and rattles, this is the only hardtop SS I have ever personally seen. I realize there are plenty of them around. I have just never seen one and the SS's I have seen were T-top cars. The car has 70,000 miles. I have been the only driver, and most of the miles were easy, cruise-control miles on the highway. The car has never seen a dragstrip or road course. It is completely stock except an SLP loudmouth, LS1 motorsports lid, and a Pro 5.0 shifter with Lou's short stick. It has black leather, and the tires are Nitto 555s in the stock size. Email me with more questions or for pics. I am asking $14,000 for the car. The car is currently in Augusta, GA. Thanks, PL

Default offer?

What do the members think a reasonable offer is on my car? I am curious because I just keep lowering the price, and I am still getting little interest in the car. Is $14,000 way high or something? I probably wouldn't take much less than that either way, but I am just curious what its worth. Thanks for any info. PL

Your price seems fair to me. I think the color makes it a little harder to sale. Also the hardtop is something some people like and some people don't. I think it is a fair price and if i didn't just put my current mods on my car i would sell mine and pick this one up. Pictures would help a lot as well!Bump!

$14,000 is pretty close to my bottom dollar. I might take $13,500 if somebody showed up with cash. I know that isn't dealing much, but I am surprised there haven't been any takers at $14,000. I also understand that 70K miles is a lot of miles, but the car is absolutely in excellent condition. I am just going to keep it and do a heads, cam and long tube install if I can't get close to $14K for it. I don't understand what has happened to the market for F-bodies. It seems to me that you can't give them away right now. As far as pics go. I would post them if I knew how. I know it isn't too complicated, but I am busy with med school right now and don't have time(or brain to spare) to learn. I can email pics to anybody that is interesed though. Anyway, thanks for your interest. PL

The biggest thing i see for the pricing is that

1. I honestly believe that the price you have is reasonable, maybe a little high for its mileage but this is the kind of car that someone has to be looking for.
2. Pewter is always a hard sell, and a hardtop even more so.
3. The best thing you got going for you is that it is a M6. I have been seeing A4's dump in price because no one wants one. Its a buyers market right now trust me. I just sold my C6 with a blower on it for 5K under its value without the blower, mods and its still a new car (8,000 miles). It sucks just the way it is right now.

Thanks for the info, man. Why did you sell the C6? That is a sweet looking car. I have just about decided to keep it anyway. I was just going to get another fast toy if I sold the SS. So I will probably just end up going heads and cam or maybe even big bore and stroke with it. PL
