The power steering cooler unfortunately is next to worthless. My first track day in my 98 1LE was in Oct of 98 at Vegas 98. I made it 5 hot laps before the PS reservoir got so hot if melted the plastic pulley which came off in Turn 7 of LVMS and bounded down the track about a 1/2 mile! Limped home to SF, Ca with a shorter belt on and no PS and added an auxiliary oil cooler plumbed into the PS reservoir and nary a problem since. These days you can add a Turn One pump which has a metal pulley and you should be OK with the stock cooler and synthetic PS fluid.
For a twisty/autox/or track day lover this is the cats meow. For a cruiser you would hold out for a ttop flexiflyer FBod. I have owned a 93 driver, a 93 CMC race car, a 94 1LE (no AC and it was black!) and a 98 1LE. I still have 2 of them and have never had a Ttop car. I simply can't understand why anyone would want to own a car where you could jack up one wheel and watch the car bend like a pretzel. I suffered through a 94 Z07 Corvette Coupe that was so limp that it couldn't close the drivers side door after a day of autoxing. Sold that car in 97 to buy a Z06 which as a coupe is much stiffer.
Someone buy this car and have some fun.

I bought my 99 1le back in 04 w/ 13k miles for 13k so I'm partial to them. Good luck!
