2001 Corvette Z06 - Chicago - $25K
After having a few potential sales fall through, then having the car in Vettefest, I've decided again to sell my car for good this time. Here are the details, I apologize for the painfully long post, but I want to be as detailed as possible.
2001 Corvette Z06
Quicksilver Exterior
43K miles, Extended Warranty until 45K
Mod-Red Leather Interior
Memory Seat/Mirrors package, Bose Sound, Electrochromatic Mirrors, Active Handling
Body Side Moldings Delete option (looks way better without on the FRC body style)
Black Motorsport Wheels
Performance Mods
-Speed Inc. Custom Grind sleeper cam (pm me for specs)
-Comp Valve Springs and Chromoly Pushrods
-SLP Underdrive Crank Pulley
-Raptor Intake & Coupler
-B&B PRT Exhaust (not loud, but a little louder than stock)
-Hurst Shifter
All mods were installed by Straightline Performance. They have dyno-tuned the car as well, and did an awesome job I might add. The car made 383 RWHP on their Mustang Dyno (over 400 RWHP on a Dynojet). This is through the stock '01 manifolds (very restrictive) and 4, yes 4 catalytic converters. This car in stock form was on par with an '02-'04 Z06 I ran across, with supposedly 20 HP less from the factory.
Interior Modifications
-Alpine Headunit w/ iPod adapter mounted in the glovebox
-Stock Bose amps/subs/speakers
-Interior lighting converted to red LED lighting, installed by Spdkilz himself (if you don't know who he is, go to www.spdkilz.com)
Note: if you do not care for the Mod-Red interior (which looks awesome on silver) I have a full black Z06 interior I can swap in.
Condition
The car has never been in an accident, never had a body panel replaced, never been in the paint booth. Clean carfax. VIN available, just PM me. The body is straight as an arrow, no cracks in the fiberglass. There is a rock chip on the front plate cover (phew, not on the bumper) about the size of your pinky fingernail. There is another stone chip on the drivers door at the very very bottom. It is noticible if you are standing back from the car or looking under it. Lastly, there is a tiny blemish on the passenger door, about the size of a crumb. Literally, a crumb. I'm just putting it all out there so there are no surprises.
The interior has no scuffs on the door jambs or kick panels, no tears/rips/stains in the leather, no cracks in the dash. The driver's seat has some normal wear, but none of the bolsters are broken in.
Mechanically, the car moves out. I don't know how to describe it, but it screams. I've never had a sticky tire on the car because I think it is close to the threshold for the stock Z06 clutch (sorry, no track times). The car idles smooth, no loping or cycling to the cam (which is what I wanted, sleeper ) I park in the same storage spot all the time and there is a never a drop of fluid that leaks out. The car doesn't burn oil like everyone thinks the '01 Z06 does. I put 6.75 quarts of Mobil 1 in, take 6.25 quarts out when I change. There are no noises from the suspension or drivetrain. The shifter is notchy because it's a Hurst, but I've never missed a gear.
The car was in Chevy Vettefest last month here in Chicago, some of you locals may have seen it. It was entered into the show via Straightline Performance, as a testament to their work and the condition of the car. I know the guys personally and I'm sure Mike would vouch for it as he did the work. A lot of people say "it's just an '01" but this '01 had no problem with a 455 RWHP '04 Cobra, a 420 RWHP H/C Z28 and was dead even with a headers/intake/exhaust C6.
If you have ANY questions at all, or want pics of something in particular, let me know! The car is in heated storage so it might take a few days to get pics, but I can answer any questions right away.
$25,000 firm, if I don't get that now, I'll wait until the spring when I can get more.
EDIT: I've had several requests for more pics of the engine and interior. Here they are, just snapped them yesterday when I made my weekly trip to start her at the storage facility!
The HVAC control center is not actually that grey, it matches the rest of the interior. I think the flash from the camera washed it out.

If you decide to sell it for less come April send me a PM . I'm actually looking towards a C5 over the summer to replace my DD Audi, but good price on your Z06 (little bit more then I wanna spend).
