Testing the waters to sell the 86 Silverado LS1 and 4L60E. Looking to trade for a cool old hot rod or ?????? something interesting. Ideas in my head are LS powered 60-64 Impala or 67-73 Camaro or 66-70 Chevelle or????? You get the picture. I'm open to any trades or partial trades. Or an outright sale is always cool. What ya got?? Asking $29,900. That's about what I spent on this project (plus 2 years).
Now I know you seldom get all your money back out of these custom rides, so don't even bother with all the post and pm's explaining to me how this works. I have been building custom rides for years and am aware of how it works. Bottom line is this. This is a very slick truck that is built right and thats not cheap to do. There were no shortcuts taken on the restoration or the conversion. The paint work is very slick. This truck can be bought for much cheaper than you could build one of this quality for. If someone has a reasonable offer or a ride you want to swap then lets talk. If not I will ride in it. Thanks for the interest, Ryan

man kinda a high price. saw a 70 C10 SB with an LS1 and 4L60E go for 20K and it had 20"s all glossy black paint and custom interior. Think you're asking a little much man. Sweet ride though don't get me wrong. You just said testing the waters so thought I would give you so feedback but then again someone might want this exact truck and pay that much. Me personally I would say it would go for 12K

Thank you for your priceless wisdom. What a amazing talent you have to be able to value a vehicle without seeing it. This site is very fortunate to have you and your 3 post.

ummm u will never get anything close to 10,000 for that thing, and it dont matter if somebody has 3 or 1,000,000 posts, it does'nt take an expert to see you truck is worth maybe 6,000, and you've been building "hot rods" for years? and it took you 2 of them to build that truck??? geez that must suck, so im guessing your years of building hot rods went into building that truck, and the rims look like hub caps, anyways gl with the sale... you going to need it

Well i would actually be willing to argue. I could see it going for 10,000 maybe even 12,000 to the right guy. But the price you have it at sir extremely out of the realm of reality. Maybe your wife is making you sell it thats why its priced so high(then I understand) Otherwise take a couple of hours search the net for trucks the caliber of yours ,not doubt its super clean, and then I would rethink the price. Good luck with the sell otherwise. Thats one nice truck you have.

Couple quick questions.

1. What possessed you to want to restore a old *** Silverado of all things?
2. What was included in the build that hiked the price up so high?
3. Is there a Vette under the shell?

First two questions are actually serious.

If you have seen this truck in person, and know what you are talking about, feel free to put your value on it. If you haven't seen it, you telling me how much it is worth is about as useful as it is correct. If you haven't seen it don't value it.
And I'm looking for a trade. PLEASE read the original post before you start typing!
As far as the 2 years, I have a family that comes before any truck and make no apologies on that.
As far as all the values I am seeing....You cant pay the paint shop bill on a job like this for some of the values I am seeing. And every piece of trim new from GM. Price some of that stuff. Not to mention the LS swap.
If you have not(or can not) built a truck this nice before you have no idea what it takes and your negative, uninformed comments are useless. Thinks guys for all the comments to those of you who know what they are looking at.
