2001 Black Firebird LS1 conversion Up for sale 2001 Pontiac Firebird. Need to sell to get family car wife says no baby of hers is riding in the bird. This car has been my baby since 2001 bought new from cape gmc pontiac in cape girardeau, mo. With the help of many people on this site the car was converted to LS1 a4 in 2003. Car original options black exterior, taupe/pewter cloth interior, t-tops, sport appearance package, performance package, power package, chrome wheels. Body modifications include avs taillight covers, suncoast creations ram air hood with extractors and air box, 17” ws6 wheels from a 96 t/a powder coated golden gauge metallic, switched firebird emblems for formula emblems, autografics 30th anny style stripes and Daytona style strips in gold also had other gold accent graphics, recently removed 30th anny stripes and Daytona stripes left gold formula door emblem overlay, rear center section formula and gold bird, and gold Pontiac on rear bumper, clear coat has come off wheels and car needs to be buffed to bring back luster also front ground effects need to be reinstalled. Details of Conversion- converted in 2003 when 3.8L still ran perfect and had only 27,714 miles, items swapped engine, trans, cradle, sway bar, pcm, gas and brake pedal assembly, radiator, fuel lines, fuel pump, instrument cluster, aluminum drive shaft. At the time of the swap spark plugs and wires were changed ls6 intake added, egr and air pump removed computer was reprogrammed by speed inc in Schaumburg, il. Also added were the following items from SLP off road long tube headers, high flow cats, dual dual loudmouth exhaust, reinforced rear panhard bar, reinforced rear control arms, bolt-on sub frame connectors, later add-ons were iat connector, rear o2 simulators, Transmission was rebuilt less than 20k ago, car runs and drives strong, currently has less than 113,xxx miles, interior It good condition could use a detailing, door panels have hereditary cracks like most 4th gen birds, Additional info: cruise control does not work never hooked up for v8 set up.
Additional information: Car is registered as v6 car so you get all the performance of the v8 with insurance rates of a v6 car. Also at last fill up car gets about 23 MPG.
Included with the sale I will let winning bidder also have the following if they wish, ls1 intake, egr, air pump assembly, panhard bar, rear control arms, steel drive shaft removed from the car, I also have a spare set of t-top holders, some front take-off springs from slp for v8 cars(liked the way car sits with v6 springs),and a steering rack was originally told i would need a different one but had the correct one to begin with, I will also include a $200 obd II diagnostic tool that reads engine codes and erase stored engine codes. There may also be some additional take off parts that you will be welcome to if you like.
anyone is more than welcome to come by and check her out and test drive. I am down to selling for less than the conversion cost. I would like to get at least $6,000 but i am open to reasonable offers.

last price drop, really need to let my baby go, again this is a daily driver runs great just needs a little cosmetic tlc nothing major little paint for hood a little buffing, if someone buys and it is a big deal ground effects not on front i will reattach before sale complete, slp off road long tube headers and y-pipe, slp cats, slp dual dual loudmouth exhaust, slp bolt on subframe connectors, slp reinforced pan hard bar and rear control arms, ls6 intake also from slp, functional ram air hood and air box from suncoast creations. letting her go for $5,000

bump back up no word back on 3.8l so for $6000 will include original 3.8L engine/ trans, cradle, wiring, pcm, radiator , fuel pump, steel drive shaft, pedal assembly, and any misc parts

i live in johnston city, il 62951 now, 3.8l engine in storage in cape girardeau, mo, did you click picture in forum to view other pictures, what other shots would you like.
